Nestling on the edge of Beddgelert Forest but just 5 minute drive into the village, the property is wonderfully secluded but never isolated. Located idyllically adjacent to the Lôn Gwyrfai path, Glan-y-Gors offers many welcoming features with the architectural styling continuing to the interior, providing designer inspired features throughout. The impressive vaulted ceilings of the living room and hallway reflect the grand views of the surrounding mountains. The kitchen and bedroom, whilst spacious, remain cosy and comfortable. The patio door opens onto a large canopied terrace with further spectacular mountain views including Moel Hebog and the surrounding forest. The canopy, which is an extension of the vaulted roof, allows you to sit out in comfort, enjoying the woodland garden even when the weather may be inclement.
The master bedroom enjoys a luxury en-suite with rainfall shower and heated mirror. Underfloor gas central heating is a feature throughout the property which is computer controlled for your comfort. Room temperatures can be individually adjusted to your personal preference. The spectacular tunnel woodburner in the living/dining room gives a cosy glow on cold nights. The kitchen is fully equipped and benefits from woodland views through picture windows and a westerly facing patio to enjoy the evening sun.

As you step out of your front door, you are greeted by the splendour of the Hafod Ruffydd waterfall with spectacular views of the nearby mountains. Miles of forest walks through stunning scenery await you. Picturesque Beddgelert village is nearby and the challenging routes up Snowdon a walk away. The Welsh Highland Railway meanders through the forest and the occasional whistles of the stream trains are always a joy to hear.
After a day exploring the local countryside and attractions, what better than to come back to the comfort in your own forest haven. On clear nights the stars seem to shine even brighter in the ink black sky and you will fall asleep to the gentle sound of the river passing by or the hoot of the owls in the forest. Bring your bucket and spade as the glorious sandy beach at Morfa Dyffryn is just a mile down the road and offers superb views over to the Rhinog Mountains. For the more adventurous, Zip World and Bounce Below at Blaenau Ffestiniog are a thrill seekers delight, whilst the famous Ffestiniog Railway and mighty Harlech Castle are also well worth a visit. From Barmouth, why not hire a bike and cycle across Barmouth Bridge and along the Mawddach Trail to Penmaenpool and Dolgellau? Beach 1 mile. Shops 300 yards, pubs and restaurants ½ mile.

Set on the edge of Abergynolwyn, a village that lies in the shadows of Cader Idris and situated between the popular seaside resort of Tywyn and market town Dolgellau, this beautiful detached barn conversion provides spacious accommodation, ideal for families wishing to enjoy the peace and tranquillity. Tywyn is surrounded by the Tarren Hills, and holds the 7-mile long Talyllyn Narrow Gauge Steam Railway that runs between Tywyn Wharf and Nant Gwernol. Nearby Tal-y-llyn lake and Talyllyn steam railway are always popular with visitors, as are the sandy beaches along Cardigan Bay. Some visitor attractions include the Centre for Alternative Technology, King Arthur’s Labyrinth, Animalarium, Coed-y-Brenin Forest and Portmeirion Italianate village. Other places to visit are Birds Rock, Castell y Bere, Dolgoch Falls Walk, Aberdovey, Corris slate mines and craft centres. The location is also great for easy access into Snowdonia. Located in the coastal village of Fairbourne, this holiday property has a large lawned garden with great views of the mountains, yet is only a couple of minutes walk from the lovely, quiet, two-mile long sandy beach, over stones. Many of the area’s beaches are dog friendly and Fairlawns can accommodate up to 2 dogs. The property makes a great base for exploring the area. Take a trip on the little Fairbourne Railway out to the headland and cross the Mawddach Estuary by ferry, and visit Barmouth where you can try crabbing in the harbour, or stroll across the famous Barmouth Bridge. Imagine yourself climbing Cader Idris, exploring the ruins of Castell-y-Bere, or riding behind a steam engine on the friendly Talyllyn Railway and hopping off the train to explore the waterfalls at Dolgoch or Nant Gwernol. Visit the pretty market town of Dolgellau, go walking or mountain biking at Coed-Y-Brenin Forest Park, then relax in the garden with a glass of wine, watching the sun set.

Gloriously situated at the end of Bala Lake, this delightful holiday property, next door to the owners’ seasonal coffee shop, has a lovely decked area from which to admire the stunning views across Wales’ largest natural lake. Fishing is available on Bala Lake (or Llyn Tegid to give it its Welsh name) and a licence may be purchased locally. Stroll to the end of the lake and catch a narrow gauge steam train on the Bala Lake Railway, along the lake shore to the pretty village of Llanuwchllyn. The market town of Bala is close by and offers several pubs, restaurants and cafes within walking distance, as well as a nearby leisure centre and shopping facilities. Located in the heart of the Snowdonia National Park, you can take the mountain road over to Lake Vyrnwy, an experience in itself, or the easy route to the beach at Barmouth, just over 25 miles away.

This cottage for four, one of a pair, has many original features including beamed ceilings and a narrow staircase. Situated near the village of Talsarnau, it lies in the hills between Harlech and Porthmadog. With walks from the door into the hills and surrounding mountains, it is only a short drive across the estuary to the Italianate village of Portmeirion, designed by Sir Clough Williams Ellis and used for the series ‘Prisoner’. Nearby in the former slate quarrying town of Blaenau Ffestiniog, is Bounce Below, where you can bounce on trampoline nets in an underground slate cavern, and Zipworld Titan, the largest zip wire zone in the world, a real mecca for adrenaline enthusiasts. The famous Ffestiniog Railway also runs from Blaenau on a scenic journey down to the coast at Porthmadog. The Cambrian coastline includes Harlech with its castle and sandy beach and Barmouth, a harbour town with a mountainous backdrop, whilst in the other direction the Lleyn Peninsula features the seaside towns of Criccieth and Abersoch.
