Making the most of your location, embark on a scenic walk along the white cliffs of Dover (noted in The Times as one of the UK's best coastal walks), past Moonraker reflecting Ian Flemings setting of the book of the same name on the cliffs here, visit the Western Heights of Dover Port, or head down to the secluded beach of Kingsdown just a short walk from the house down the cliff path. For those wishing to experience a foreign trip, why not book yourselves onto a ferry and do a day trip to Calais, France. Alternatively, you could drive to Folkestone to travel to Calais by the Eurotunnel Le Shuttle, or even be in Paris for lunch and return again in the same day. Attractions include the triple spiral staircase of the Grand Shaft through the cliffs of Dover, the historic Dover Castle going back to William of Normandy in 1066 and jumping forward to the War Tunnels from the Second World War.
