As you enter the property, you instantly feel at home with the open plan living and dining area which is the perfect space for winding down and watching a film after a busy day exploring the coastline. The dining table and chairs provide a great spot for enjoying a family meal, the living area is comfortably furnished and the kitchen is well-equipped. Head upstairs where you will discover three beautiful bedrooms and the family bathroom. From the landing a few more steps lead to the bathroom, with a gorgeous free-standing bath and large shower, and two steps lead to the three bedrooms, one with a zip and link super kingsize which can be twin beds on request, one with kingsize bed and another with twin beds. The staircase is steep and has a handrail, with each step lit by low level floor lighting, and as you would expect from a characterful cottage, the ceilings are sloping and low in places with odd beams where you may need to duck. Outside, guests can enjoy use of the courtyard garden with a patio area, outdoor seating and a charcoal barbecue, a lovely spot for relaxing in the sunshine.
The Barn House provides the perfect base from which to explore the county’s glorious coast and countryside. The village of Ugborough offers a local church and two great pubs which are just a couple of minutes’ walk away from the cottage. There are many beaches, all approximately half an hour’s drive away, including Mothecombe, Bantham, Bigbury and Wembury. The wild beauty of Dartmoor National Park is just 3 miles away, Plymouth city centre is 15 miles with its historical Barbican and Hoe, as well as theatres, cinemas, bowling, pubs, restaurants, concert hall, ice skating, aquarium and ski slope. Other nearby attractions and places of interest include Exeter, famed for its stunning cathedral and shopping, Woodlands Adventure Park, Paignton Zoo, Dartmouth Steam Railway, Torre Abbey and numerous National Trust properties.
