The Little House is a charming, mid-terrace cottage nestled in the heart of the Axe Valley in the small village of Axmouth on the Dorset & Devon border. This well positioned home is a few minutes drive from the seaside town of Seaton, between the coastal towns of Lyme Regis and Sidmouth. There is a mile long level walk along the riverside to the pretty Axe Harbour and the magnificent mile long Seaton beach with an esplanade, with views to the cliffs and Jurassic coastline.
As you step inside the entrance hall, you will walk into the cosy and inviting living room which has plenty of comfortable seating, a Smart TV, DVD player, two sofas and a wood burner. The kitchen next door is fully equipped and the dining table in the conservatory is the perfect space for enjoying a home-cooked meal with your fellow guests, with a set of French doors opening out into the private tiered garden. There is a children’s playground opposite which is ideal for families staying in the cottage, and there are two great local pubs in Axmouth serving food. The cottage sits at the upper end of the beautiful Axe Estuary, abundant with bird and wildlife. At the mouth of the estuary is Axmouth Harbour, home to a number of small local fishing and pleasure boats, and direct access to pebble beaches, ideal for rock-pooling, crabbing, fishing and water sports.
