Positioned on the high ground with far reaching countryside views, this spacious semi-detached cottage forms part of the owner’s 16th century thatched Devon longhouse and retains some interesting features. Barnstaple is only a short drive and close by are the RHS gardens at Rosemoor, Dartington Crystal and the historic fishing village at Clovelly. Popular North Devon beaches are within a ½-hour drive. There is walking on Dartmoor or cycle the Tarka Trail. Shop, pub and restaurant 1½ miles.

Oaklands is a luxurious and spacious holiday home set in its own acre of ground, with three beautiful bedrooms, two bathrooms and an open plan kitchen, dining and living area all on the same level. Perfect for a family or a group of friends to relax and get away from it all with plenty of opportunities to spot the neighbouring wildlife in the surrounding fields. The doorways are wide enough for wheelchairs and ramps can be provided over the doorways if requested, however please note the property hasn’t been specifically set-up for wheelchair users so the kitchen and bathrooms may not be suitable The accommodation feels bright and welcoming with high beamed ceilings, underfloor heating throughout and plenty of large windows, patio doors and sliding doors seamlessly blending the living spaces with the outdoor landscape. Guests will love the rural tranquil location with plenty of wildlife, starry skies, distant views of Dartmoor and beautiful scenery that this perfect get away can offer.
The large kitchen is fully equipped with a farmhouse cooker with two ovens and an induction hob, a fridge/freezer, microwave, coffee machine, dishwasher and a washing machine. After a fun-filled day exploring Devon, gather your friends and family around the large dining table for a celebratory homecooked meal and relax on the comfortable sofas and armchairs or sit outside with a glass of wine and watch the sun go down.
There are three comfortably furnished bedrooms. The master has a kingsize bed, an en-suite shower room and patio doors opening out onto the beautiful decked area. The second bedroom has a kingsize bed and the third has twin beds. The family bathroom is fitted with a bath, shower cubicle, heated towel rail, toilet, wash basin, and a mirror with a shaver socket.

Lark Rise is perfectly located for all the attractions and stunning scenery that North Devon has to offer and is under 2 miles away from the nearest beach at Westward Ho! which is popular for surfers as well as sunbathers alike, at low tide you can even walk across the bay. Northam is a small market town lying just north of the historic port town of Bideford and less than 2 miles south of Westward Ho! which offers an array of seaside amenities including free public tennis courts, some fascinating curiosity shops and a range of restaurants and cafes, many of which are regularly visited by locals for their quality fayre. The beaches are a main attraction of this area for many, and the Southwest Coastal Path also runs through Westward Ho! This is a must for keen walkers, runners, and view seekers! Paddling, surfing, canoeing, entertainment for all the family and fishing are all close by too. The popular Tarka Trail can be accessed approximately 3 miles away providing the unique opportunity to follow a disused railway line by foot or by cycle allowing you to enjoy some of Devon’s finest countryside and scenery while discovering the towns of Barnstaple and Bideford where you can wander during their weekly pannier markets, with a host of local produce, quality cafes and crafts on offer.
On your journey stopover at Fremington Quay for a tasty bite to eat and then the estuary-side village of Instow – a must see! And one place not to forget to visit is the world-famous village of Clovelly with its pedestrianised cobbled main street, traditional architecture, donkeys, and views over the Bristol Channel. If golf is your thing, then the Royal North Devon Golf Club which was founded in 1864 and is the oldest golf course in England has to be on your list of places to visit. For a day with a difference take a trip across to Lundy Island from Bideford, home to England’s first statutory Marine Nature Reserve due to its unique flora and fauna. Measuring just 3 miles by ¾ mile, this entire island has been designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest. And don’t forget Exmoor National Park with its magical night skies in Europe’s first ’Dark Sky Reserve’.

Lemon Cottage is a fantastic 2021 refurbished self-catering holiday property nearby to the owner’s property, in the village of Bickington. Bickington is a village and civil parish in the Teignbridge district of Devon, England, on the east edge of the Dartmoor National Park. The village is about five miles west of Newton Abbot, on the River Lemon. The cottage is also just a 5-minute drive away from the nearby town of Ashburton, with its fantastic local antique shops, restaurants & bakery. In addition, Lemon Cottage is a 10-minute drive from Dartmoor and the famous Haytor Rock, a great day out for walking/hiking with a picnic and taking in the natural beauty and wildlife.

As you enter Lemon Cottage, there is a handy area for your coats and shoes along with dog beds for those four-legged friends. There is also a wet room by the front door, perfect for rinsing down after a day on the beach, or cleaning up mucky paws. Through the entrance hallway and into the fitted kitchen with breakfast bar overlooking the living/dining area. The living/dining area benefits from a cosy wood-burner to sit in front of playing board games, and has French doors which open out onto the rear garden. The rear garden is mainly lawned, but also has a small patio area, partially under cover with seating to enjoy a glass of wine in the evening or a fresh morning coffee. The rear garden boasts a hot tub, absolutely perfect for unwinding after a long day!

The first floor of Lemon Cottage is where the main bathroom is located, with bath & shower over as well as large double sink. Next to the bathroom is a double bedroom. Onto the second floor, and there are a further two bedrooms, a small twin room and a second double bedroom. All in all, Lemon Cottage is a beautifully cosy cottage with all the facilities you could want for a great holiday.

Lisburne Place is new for the summer of 2021 and has been completely refurbished from top to bottom with new bathrooms, kitchen, flooring and furnishings. It is now a stylish, three bedroom, luxury property in a fantastic location close to Torquay harbour and town centre, with a whole host of amenities right on its doorstep.

On the ground floor the property features a wonderful open plan living space which stretches from the front to the rear of the property. There are sumptuous designer leather sofas where up to six people can relax in comfort, a curved screen TV and a chic all-glass dining table with chairs for dining. The Smithy glamping pods are fully equipped newly built lodges in the semi-rural area of Dainton, outside of Newton abbot. Situated on the owners smallholding and with beautiful countryside views. The owners are also happy to give guided tours where they are able.
As you enter the lodge through the French doors, you find yourself in the open kitchen/living/dining area. The kitchen is fully equipped with electric oven, electric hob and fridge/freezer. The living/dining area benefits from dining table and chairs, a sofa bed as additional sleeping and a TV. The bedroom contains a kingsize bed with wall mounted TV and en-suite shower room. The lodge has a lovely small decked and patio area to the front where guests can sit out and relax on the two zero-gravity garden chairs, looking out across the fields with various animals

Dunstone Cottage is situated at the end of a private lane in the heart of Dartmoor National Park, offering a truly wonderful experience to explore the wild, beautiful, and rugged landscape. The accommodation is a one-bedroom, stone barn conversion which sits alongside the owner’s farmhouse and has been thoughtfully renovated to provide high quality accommodation, featuring an open plan kitchen, dining, and living area, a beautifully furnished en-suite bedroom and a private garden. A peaceful aspect of the cottage is the garden which has stunning countryside views, a lawn, and a beautiful patio area. The River Plym is just a six-minute walk away from the cottage and guests can enjoy the excellent walking, riding, cycling, and fishing all available in the area. The cottage is located on the open moor and it is a lovely place to walk and gaze at the surrounding countryside where the idyllic rural scenes of ‘War Horse’ were filmed. There is a 21-mile-long cycling and walking route, Drakes Trail, which runs through nearby Yelverton and links Tavistock and Plymouth sweeping through wooded valleys and open moorland.
Nearby attractions include Buckland Abbey, The Garden House, the Plym Valley, Burrator Reservoir, or Plymouth’s city amenities which is about a 20-minute drive away. The South Devon coast is within easy reach for day trips to Salcombe and the pretty riverside village of Newton Ferrers makes a memorable day out.
