This two-bedroom property is equipped with everything you would need for your stay. The open-plan design of the living area is light and airy, and a large feature window brings the outside in. For those chilly nights, the wood burner adds warmth and cosiness. The beautiful kitchen has everything you would need to rustle up a meal if you didn’t want to go out and there is no need to put wine in the fridge as there is a large wine cooler. There is plenty of room around the breakfast bar if you prefer informal dining, or just enjoy company whilst the chef is cooking. The comfortable large bedrooms have plenty of storage, as well as a useful dressing table and lovely countryside views.
    Meadowside is a sound-proofed annexe with its own separate entrance that adjoins the main house, which is occupied occasionally by the owners who ensure they do not overlook guests in any way.
    St Mawes is one of the finest waterside villages in Cornwall with much to offer the visitor. St Mawes Castle was built by Henry VIII and is a splendid place to take in the views of the Carrick Roads. There are miles of coastal and countryside walks to take in and some idyllic beaches on which to relax and watch the world go by. The little Place Ferry takes visitors to explore St Anthony’s Head, or there are regular ferries to Falmouth. Being situated on the seafront, the village is also known for the restaurants and pubs that serve superb fish and shellfish dishes all year round. There is a range of shops all within a few minutes’ walk. Summers Beach is ½ mile, or St Mawes beach about 10 minutes’ walk. You don’t need to take your car out whilst you are here as the buses run on a regular timetable, the bus stop is just outside the property.
    There is so much to see in the Roseland. Veryan is the next small village known for its unique round houses, and St Just in Roseland is noted for having the most beautiful church in the world tucked away in a secret valley. You can reach the city of Truro by catching the King Harry Ferry, a mechanical car ferry, or drive around the peninsula. Well worth a visit is the stunning cathedral, and the cobbled streets lead down to small Cornish opes offering a great selection of local produce, wines, gins etc. A wide choice of restaurants and cafés cater for all tastes and dietary needs.     The historical cottage, built around the 1890’s and was a former stables for a local Inn, feels bright and stylish whilst maintaining the rustic feel of the property. After an action-packed day exploring the coast, enter into the kitchen/dining area where you will find everything you need to enjoy a self-catered break. Head into the spacious lounge where you can unwind on the comfortable seating, watch a film on the smart TV whilst enjoying the glows of the electric wood burner in the background. This warm and light room has double doors which lead into the enclosed courtyard area which can create a fresh and airy feel throughout the entire day. Perfect for enjoying the warm Cornish evenings or a morning coffee. An absolute sun trap. The coast is within a 10-minute walk and the nearest beach at Bossiney Cove is just 1.3 miles away or a 25-minute walk across the fields. Within easy reach are the coastal villages of Boscastle and Port Isaac, the latter made famous by the TV series, ’Doc Martin’. Further along the coast are the golden, sandy beaches of Rock and Polzeath. Plenty of walking and local paths perfect for the family, and prime dog walking places on the doorstep of Mews Cottage. Trebarwith Strand a 10 minutes drive is a perfect beach for this, dog friendly all year round, but is also accessable via the coastal path past St Materiana’s church. Mews has BT WiFi so workations here are possible. Pub within a mile.
