Bedroom 4 and 5, on the first floor have interlinking doors, great for families with small children. It is the perfect location for a family get together to remember, with your own private paddock to enjoy with glorious views across the owner’s horse farm.
Bunny Meadows has been thoughtfully and tastefully decorated throughout with soft furnishings. No expense has been spared on the comfortable beds and of course those little touches which will make your holiday extra special, including the huge farmhouse kitchen with Range cooker. For alfresco dining a barbecue can be found on the patio, or stretch your legs around your private paddock and enjoy the freedom which it offers.
Not too near but not too far, Bunny Meadows is surrounded by a wealth of historic attractions and you will be centrally located for Pembrokeshire and the whole of south Wales. The Gower has lots to offer and many tourist attractions are only a short drive away. Locally the towns of Carmarthen and St Clears are only a 6 minute drive. The village shop, pub and restaurant are only 1½ miles….no hustle and bustle of busy tourist towns here!
Take a trip to Llanstephan and enjoy afternoon tea in the mansion house or walk on the sandy beach and then visit the castle. Only 15 minutes away is Laugharne, home of Dylan Thomas, again with a beautiful sandy beach and castle with a tearoom. There is also Pembrey Country Park or Heatherton and Oakwood theme parks to visit or for younger guests (and parents!) visit Folly Farm with lambs, all things fluffy and even tigers and giraffes. A short drive away is Skanda Vale a multi faith ashram which welcomes 90,000 pilgrims a year for those who need a peaceful retreat to stay whilst visiting the temples. Open plan living space connects the accommodation and patio area outside. The extensive kitchen and dining area and comfortable living space is tied together by a duplex wood burner Whilst the open plan boast space, the thoughtful layout maintains a cosy, homely feel throughout. Patio doors from the living space open out to the panoramic patio area where you will find ample outdoor dining and seating facilities, a brick-built BBQ and luxury sunken hot tub!
There are two bedrooms to the ground floor, the first of which has excellent access, with doors out to a lawned patio area, an adjacent bathroom with bath and walk-in shower and flexible sleeping arrangements with a kingsize bed that can be split to two singles. The second ground floor bedroom is also flexible with a double bed to comfortably sleep two adults as well as a bespoke single bunk, this offers additional sleeping space for a child. The third bedroom is on the first floor of the barn and oozes luxury. The super kingsize bed shares stunning views of the countryside and boasts its own luxury en-suite shower room with a fully tiled walk-in shower.
Despite the rural setting, Y Gelli is perfectly placed to explore some of the nearby attractions. In under 30 minutes by car, you could be exploring the beach and country park at Pembrey, visiting picturesque Welsh towns along the River Towy like Carmarthen and Llandeilo, or immersing yourself in history at Kidwelly Castle! If that’s not enough, you can visit the world’s largest single-span glasshouse at the National Botanic Garden of Wales, tee-off at one of the nearby golf clubs, or check out some horse racing at Ffos Las Racecourse. Further afield, South Wales has so much to offer and Y Gelli is conveniently located to make the most of your stay in South Wales. Beach 8 miles.

The Old Vicarage is nestled peacefully within the township of Laugharne. This magnificent Grade II listed Georgian house has been sympathetically restored, enabling the property to retain all of its original attractive features including stone walls, slate and original tiled flooring im some rooms, high ceilings. Welcoming touches have been added such as a wood burner and new Oak flooring to provide a wonderful ambience for cosy nights in.

Enjoy a stroll down onto the Grist where you can see Laugharne Castle, the estuary and enjoy spotting lots of wildlife and birdlife. Alternatively, stroll out to Ginst Point where you can reach 6 miles of golden sands at Pendine beach, made famous by the land speed record achieved here. Within this picture postcard township you can enjoy a plethora of eateries and pubs with locally brewed ales. Follow the steps of Dylan Thomas and visit his writing shed and the Browns Hotel which he frequented.
Each room offers something new to discover, from the snug perfect for a cosy rest in front of the wood burner, to a TV room on the lower ground floor with exposed stone and original salting slabs. Share a hearty family meal and enjoy the grandeur of the elegant dining room where you can open the French doors onto your terrace to dine al-fresco, then curl up in the living room in front of the fire whilst the children are watching a movie downstairs. Each bedroom has plenty of space and has been lovingly furnished to provide a superb night’s sleep, all bedrooms are ensuite with the exception of one that has access to the separate family bathroom with quality fixtures and fittings throughout. Outside, guests can relax in their private hot tub on the terrace, where you can unwind after spending days out on adventures, it’s a real sun trap here too!
South Pembrokeshire’s top beaches are accessible within a 15-minute drive. A trip to Tenby is fun for all the family, with a selection of sandy beaches, shops, cafés and restaurants. The theme parks of Heatherton World of Adventure and Oakwood Theme Park are a great day out, or for younger families take a trip to Folly Farm Zoo, all within 40 minutes’ drive. Beach 1 mile. Raphael House is set at the end of a single track country lane within its own grounds. This upside down, detached house was originally built to make the most of these outstanding views and has remained in the same family for many years. The open plan kitchen/dining room, with French doors leading onto the patio with its amazing sea views, is on the ground floor, along with a living room and two well-appointed bedrooms. Stairs lead down to two further, spacious, lovingly furnished bedrooms and family shower room. On an evening, sit outside with a glass of wine and watch the amazing sunsets over the sea and watch the stars.

The village of Burry Port is a 15-minute walk away where you can find a plethora of restaurants, traditional Welsh pubs, shops and a champion links course at the Ashburnham Golf Club, which guests are welcome to use as non-members. Enjoy an early morning coffee sat on the harbour watching boats coming and going on a fine summers day. Close by is Pembrey Country Park which really is not to be missed, and perfect for a family day out with 500 acres to explore with walks, cycling, 8 miles of golden sands, a dry ski slope and toboggan ride. Cefn Sidan beach offers 8 miles of truly stunning coastline, perfect for sunbathers, building sandcastles or a stroll spotting birdlife.

Raphael House is perfect to explore the wonders of both Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire, with the Gower Peninsula, National Botanical Gardens of Wales and Aberglasney Gardens within a 30-minute drive.
