    Bolton Abbey is a 30,000 acre estate. The 12th-century, Augustinian Bolton Priory is located here and is a popular tourist spot. The River Wharfe flows through the area, including The Strid, which is a narrow gorge less than 2 metres across in some places.

    If you’re looking for activities, there’s an abundance of walks for all abilities from the doorstep. The area is popular with cyclists and mountain bikers.
