The Garden rooms are particularly suitable for a dog-friendly stay which feature double doors that open onto their own semi-private deck and enormous bathrooms with rainforest showers.

Fabulous meals and delicious fresh fish dishes are on the menu and now the Gallivant is also offering a range of experiences for you to try during your stay from yoga to tours to Gusbourne. Especially recommended is the meditation beach walk to calm and awake your senses! And should you ever tire of Camber Sands there are lots of pet friendly places to visit close by. Take a walk to the nearby beach of Winchelsea and a little further along the coast to the charming market town of Rye which is teaming with dog-friendly cafes and restaurants.

The largest bedroom is truly special with an enormous handmade bed, a unique bathroom with roll top bathtub, monsoon shower and sliding wall. French doors leading directly to the coastal garden and with secluded private deck. French doors open into the coastal garden where your own teak furniture sits on a private deck. Dive onto an enormous bed set into a ‘library’ wall and enjoy the truly unique bathroom with a sliding wall that opens to reveal a deep, freestanding bath to maximise the natural light and sea air. Perfect for longer escapes, it has large built-in wardrobes, a stone top bar, drinks chiller, larder and coffee machine.

Dine with Your Dog

Your dog is welcome to dine with you in the bar area of the restaurant. Matthew Harris, the head chef sources 90% of fresh ingredients from within a 20-mile radius; the fish straight off the boat daily and salt marsh meat, vegetables and fruit from local farmers who have farmed the land for generations. The Scandinavia-meets-New-England-style restaurant is light and airy space with large glass doors that open onto the dog-friendly terrace open for dining in warmer months. And if after a long day or walks on Camber Sands your four legged friend is a little tired you can leave them in the room while you eat in the restaurant.
