Enjoy family meals round the chunky table in the dining room with traditional slate floors, all freshly prepared in the well-appointed kitchen with practical utility room and pantry. Relax and enjoy alfresco meals in the sunny, south-facing garden bordered by a rose-topped slate/granite wall. It’s a pleasant walk to the sandy beach at Porthcothan or the spectacular beach at Bedruthan Steps, where a row of colossal, pointed stacks march out into the Atlantic waves. Padstow’s fine harbour, restaurants and bars are just a short drive away. A quiet, peaceful cottage, Uphill Cottage is a lovely base for exploring the seven fine beaches all within three miles of Penrose.
