Overview

The Farm

Low Hunsley Farm, a cherished family property since the early 1940s, lies just 7 miles outside the historically rich town of Beverley. Recently transformed, the traditional old farm buildings now house delightful and spacious holiday cottages. This idyllic location is a haven for walkers, cyclists, and golfing enthusiasts, with numerous amenities conveniently available nearby. The farm warmly welcomes guests to bring their dogs or even their horses to take advantage of the extensive off-road hacking and livery facilities.

The old grain stores have been skillfully converted into luxurious holiday apartments and cottages, exuding tasteful decor and exceptional comfort. The offering includes a selection of three-bedroom converted barns, some featuring an outdoor hot tub. Up to two well-behaved dogs and horses are also invited to stay and enjoy the accommodations.

The Dairy

Studio | 1 Bedrooms | 1 Bathrooms

The Dairy emerges as a charming sanctuary, inviting guests to experience a tranquil escape. This thoughtfully designed studio apartment combines comfort and style, featuring a king-size bed that serves as the focal point of the living space. The modern shower room adds a touch of sophistication to the ambiance, ensuring a delightful stay for those seeking relaxation and serenity. Beyond its cozy interior, The Dairy extends its allure to an exclusive private garden, providing an intimate outdoor retreat for guests to savour the natural surroundings. This secluded space offers a perfect spot for al fresco moments, morning coffee, or simply unwinding amidst the rustic charm of the countryside.

Designed with pet lovers in mind, The Dairy, like all the apartments, is proudly dog-friendly, warmly welcoming furry companions to join in the pleasures of the countryside retreat. Practical amenities further enhance the experience, including a washer-dryer for added convenience, a dishwasher for effortless meal cleanup, and a well-equipped kitchen featuring an oven, hob, microwave, and fridge. A coffee machine stands ready to cater to caffeine needs, while a comprehensive selection of cutlery and crockery ensures that every aspect of the stay is effortlessly enjoyable.

In the Area

Situated in a rural setting, the farm enjoys a tranquil location, with the nearest village just 2 miles away. It's a haven for walkers, providing direct access from the farm to the Yorkshire Wolds Way. The cottages are also strategically positioned for easy exploration of Beverley, York, Hull, and the Yorkshire Coast. Nestled along the picturesque Yorkshire Wolds Way, this welcoming property beckons travellers and their four-legged companions to embark on a delightful 79-mile journey through the serene chalk landscape. The National Trail unfolds like a captivating storybook, guiding wanderers through tranquil English countryside, featuring wooded slopes, peaceful valleys, and breathtaking hilltop vistas. Descending from the northern escarpment, the trail concludes its enchanting tale on the dramatic headland of Filey Brigg. Open throughout the year, the trail features highlights such as vibrant poppy fields in June and early July, along with ideal walking weather in May and September.

Along the journey, the Yorkshire Wolds Way reveals the historic parkland of the Londesborough Estate, a landscape with roots dating back to the late 17th century. Originally designed for the 1st Lord Burlington, the Parkland boasts lakes, picturesque avenues, and remnants of the original Hall, creating a delightful blend of nature and history. The trail also leads to the renowned Wold Top Brewery, crafting award-winning beers that embody the essence of the Yorkshire Wolds and the East Coast. Using traditional methods and locally sourced ingredients, Wold Top Brewery produces a range of cask and bottled real ales, including the Wolds Way Ale, the official beer of the Yorkshire Wolds Way. A portion of each pint sold contributes to the trail. The journey continues at a beautiful lavender farm with 120 different types of lavender and herbs, creating an aromatic haven for both visitors and their canine companions.
