Dog-friendly, Grade 2-listed Round House East, featured in 'Poldark's Cornwall', is set in the scenic village of Veryan on Cornwall's dramatic Roseland Peninsula. This unique cottage is perfect for a dog-friendly holiday and is situated close to the South West Coast Path and Carne and Pendower beaches. Dating back to 1820, the property is one of four round thatched houses built by the Reverend Trist, known for their unique architecture designed to keep the Devil away with no corners to hide in, and a cross on top for added protection.

Round House East is a short walk away from the local village shop, the local dog-friendly and the village pond, from where you can set off on a scenic and easy walk up to Veryan Green. The cottage is located close to the Cornish coastal path, dog-friendly beaches, coves, pubs and restaurants, gardens, galleries and National Trust properties, allowing you to enjoy a lively or tranquil stay!

Living Area and Kitchen

Make yourself at home in your sitting room 'in the round', a cosy space perfect for unwinding after a long day of walks. You'll have access to a TV with streaming services such as iPlayer, YouTube, and Netflix, as well as a selection of books for you to read during your stay. The kitchen is fully equipped with modern amenities, including a Nespresso machine and Aeroccino for your morning coffee, and Smeg appliances, such as a fridge, electric hob, and oven. You have a choice of two dining areas: the dining room table for cooler days, or outdoor dining to enjoy the Cornish sunshine. The kitchen also features a dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, and a selection of cookbooks to inspire your holiday meals.

Moving upstairs, you'll find a spacious bedroom 'in the round' with a super king-sized bed and Freeview TV for cosy movie nights in the comfort of your room. The bedroom also has a beautiful en-suite bathroom with complimentary toiletries, towels, and other necessities for your comfort.

Venture outside to the enclosed garden, a lovely spot for you and your dog to relax and play in. When the Cornish sun is shining, dine al fresco with your furry friend at your feet. At the front of the property you'll also find off-street parking for you to use during your stay.

Truro is easily accessible via the King Harry Ferry, or you can take the passenger ferry from St Mawes to Falmouth, home to the National Maritime Museum.
