Even Roseville once belonged to the Arkwright family. The charming village of Matlock Bath is very nearby, where you can take in the scenery from the skies in an alpine-style cable car at the Heights of Abraham, tour interactive exhibits at the Peak District Mining Museum, or for the children, there is the Matlock Bath Aquarium and Arcade as well as the thrilling theme park of Gulliver’s Kingdom. Walk over to the neighbouring town of Matlock, where you can take the scenic walk up to the well-known Pic Tor War Memorial or step into the past with a ride on the Peak Rail, which uses vintage steam and diesel trains as an alternative way to see the sights.
