A wide variety of stores are present, including a pharmacy, a grocery store, two butchers, and a sizable store that specialises in doll houses and their accessories. Alford has grown to be a significant arts and crafts hub thanks to the numerous markets that take place there all year long. Every Tuesday and Friday, the major market is held in the Market Place.
