Overview

Formerly the Royal Oak Hotel, Peak View is a magnificent, duplex apartment based in the centre of Keswick. Nestled just a short walk from a range of amenities, Peak View is a superb choice for families and friends looking to escape normality and uncover the wonders of Cumbria. Access to the apartment is through a communal entrance, with stairs and a lift to the first floor and stairs only to the second floor. Discover the lounge, where you can collapse into the sofa after a long day of walking, tuning into the TV or planning the next adventure. Carry the conversation into the kitchen, appointed with all the mod cons required for a short stay, including an electric oven and gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and even washer/dryer, so you can stay on top of your laundry. An elegant dining room is perfect for hosting mealtimes and socialising in the evening. On this floor there is the master bedroom, offering a double bed, fitted wardrobes, views and an en-suite shower room. Continue up to the third floor, home to a double and twin, both with TVs and both neutrally presented but offering limited headroom. Choose to start the day with a wash in the family bathroom, offering bath or shower over, before tackling the day ahead. Discover the sights by foot with a scenic stroll through the centre of the town, stopping off for a meal or snack in one of the many local cafés, restaurants or Lakeland Inns. Keswick offers a bundle of fantastic attractions, including Keswick Museum, Derwent Pencil Museum and Puzzling Place. Those outdoor enthusiasts will be in their element with some much natural beauty in the vicinity; wander around Derwentwater or Bassenthwaite Lake, where the peak of Skiddaw and Lake District Wildlife Park are just moments away. Those seeking adventure can test their bottle at Go Ape, while the summits of Helvellyn, Catbells of Blencathra are not far away. Enjoy the very best of Cumbria with a stay at Peak View.
