Lynmouth is located on the northern edge of the Exmoor National Park, noted for its breath-taking natural beauty and unspoilt landscape. Once a fishing village, today it is popular with tourists. Lynmouth, with the River Lyn running through it, near the sea, nestles right next to Lynton on the cliffs above and the two are connected by the famous funicular cliff railway.
