Directly opposite the cottage is the Embsay & Bolton Abbey Steam Railway which takes you through the beautiful Yorkshire countryside to Bolton Abbey Station on a vintage steam train; from here it is a gentle walk to the historic Bolton Priory or the Devonshire Arms Hotel for a bite to eat. Travel to Skipton for further amenities, where you can also practise your swing at Skipton Golf Club, tour the magnificent structure of Skipton Castle, trek through Skipton Castle Woods, and tour Craven Museum & Gallery, whilst the Yorkshire Dales Food & Drink Festival is held nearby, the perfect event for foodies. .
