Situated in a rural setting, the farm enjoys a tranquil location, with the nearest village just 2 miles away. It's a haven for walkers, providing direct access from the farm to the Yorkshire Wolds Way. The cottages are also strategically positioned for easy exploration of Beverley, York, Hull, and the Yorkshire Coast. Nestled along the picturesque Yorkshire Wolds Way, this welcoming property beckons travellers and their four-legged companions to embark on a delightful 79-mile journey through the serene chalk landscape. The National Trail unfolds like a captivating storybook, guiding wanderers through tranquil English countryside, featuring wooded slopes, peaceful valleys, and breathtaking hilltop vistas. Descending from the northern escarpment, the trail concludes its enchanting tale on the dramatic headland of Filey Brigg. Open throughout the year, the trail features highlights such as vibrant poppy fields in June and early July, along with ideal walking weather in May and September.
Along the journey, the Yorkshire Wolds Way reveals the historic parkland of the Londesborough Estate, a landscape with roots dating back to the late 17th century. Originally designed for the 1st Lord Burlington, the Parkland boasts lakes, picturesque avenues, and remnants of the original Hall, creating a delightful blend of nature and history. The trail also leads to the renowned Wold Top Brewery, crafting award-winning beers that embody the essence of the Yorkshire Wolds and the East Coast. Using traditional methods and locally sourced ingredients, Wold Top Brewery produces a range of cask and bottled real ales, including the Wolds Way Ale, the official beer of the Yorkshire Wolds Way. A portion of each pint sold contributes to the trail. The journey continues at a beautiful lavender farm with 120 different types of lavender and herbs, creating an aromatic haven for both visitors and their canine companions.
