The superbly-presented generous living space on the first floor has a well-equipped kitchen and through an arch way there is a dining room with sitting area and a beautiful wooden floor. After a full day exploring the area, you can return to your cottage to enjoy an alfresco meal or glass of wine in the delightful patio garden, or stroll to one of the restaurants by the lakeside, all on your doorstep. This delightful cottage is in a superb location, being just five minutes from the village of Bowness-on-Windermere, with its excellent shops and eateries, whilst also having the lake shore on your door step. In Bowness, there is the lure of the lake with cruises which go to Ambleside, or to the southerly tip of the Lake, where you can then hop on the stream train to Newby Bridge and Haverthwaite. Here you can also explore the Lakes Aquarium or the Lakeland Motor Museum. Younger party members will delight in Beatrix Potter, whilst those feeling more energetic can hire bikes and visit Grizedale Forest. Alternatively, you can try watersports such as kayaking or stand-up paddleboards. There are numerous pretty villages to explore and Ambleside, Grasmere and Coniston are all easily accessible from the cottage. For walkers, you are really spoilt for choice and will find stunning scenery where ever you are, but Orrest Head at the top of Windermere village has spectacular views of the lake and surrounding fells.
