Just a short walk will take you into the village of St Day formerly the home of the many miners who worked throughout what was the one of the wealthiest mining areas in the world. These days the hustle and bustle is replaced by a quiet traditional Cornish village with a welcoming pub, the St Day Inn and individual shops. For real ale lovers the Star Inn, well known throughout the County for the well kept, constantly changing beers has been recognized by CAMRA is close by in the hamlet of Vogue and well worth a visit.
