The Grosvenor Hotel is a charming dog-friendly hotel, recently restored over the past eighteen months,in the heart of Stockbridge, the smallest town in England and home to the River Test. Famous for its porch gate which was originally designed to offer arriving and departing carriages protection from the elements. Perfect for a dog-friendly escape - the hotel has lovely gardens plus stunning countryside on the doorstep as well as super stylish interior designed bedrooms - especially the garden rooms which are ideally suited to four legged friends with easy access to outside space. Doggie beds are also provided.

Stay with your best furry friend in one of the truly stunning garden bedrooms perfect for relaxing after a day in the Hampshire countryside on a river walk or stroll in the fields. Each rooms enjoys its own terrace which lead onto a gorgeous walled garden and a doggie bed is also provided. The bedrooms have been beautifully refurbished by Lottie Keith, an interior designer, who has mixed antiques with contemporary pieces and bold colours to create amazing spaces. There are also three dog-friendly bedrooms available in Tap Cottage.

You can dine with your dog in the bar area and eat from the same menu as in the main
Restaurant. Or dine in fabulous La Hutte - the alpine themed restaurant set in the garden.
Chef, Neil Cooper, and talented sous chef, Leo, aim to serve delicious seasonal food. They use Test Valley and South West sourced produce wherever possible and their winter menu includes Hampshire turkey, a warming cauliflower soup or halibut with tarragon. Well behaved dogs can be left in the room while you dine or at reception.

Very pleasant stay
Quiet location despite central village position. Comfortable bed, high-quality food and relaxing surroundings. Our visit coincided with a classic car rally in front of the hotel.

Location & Local Attractions
There are fabulous dog-friendly walks in the Test Valley, Less than 100 metres from the entrance of the hotel, dogs and their owners can access the 100 acres of Stockbridge Marshes, that sit just behind the High Street and run along the River Test towards Houghton. An area of outstanding natural beauty, the Marshes provide wonderfully easy access to Hampshire's great outdoors. Or walk the Test Way which is 44 miles long and begins at Inkpen and follows much of the course of the River Test to Eling. The walk has been divided into 8 sections with several sections starting or finishing in Stockbridge. Also when you are in town check out the ultra dog friendly café Patisserie Florentine.
