A delightful base for a family of four's rural getaway, Goblaen Barn not only enjoys easy access to a range of picturesque towns and villages nearby, but is within reach of the Brecon Beacons National Park! Upon arrival, you'll be delighted to uncover ample off-road parking, making unloading your belongings and getting settled in a breeze. Make your way up the steps and into the welcoming abode's open-plan living space, where a stunning, floor-to-ceiling window showcases those exceptional views of the rolling hills and floods the space with natural light. Admire these views whilst lounging on the spacious corner sofa, before switching on the Smart TV and enjoying a movie night; a selection of DVDs are also provided, adding even more choice! After spending some quality time together, make your way over to the compact but well-equipped kitchen, where a handful of quality appliances are available to make mouthwatering meals with. These meals can be tucked into under the exposed beams of the living space or taken out to the enclosed veranda, where you can relish an alfresco affair amidst those panoramic vistas. At the end of the day, catch your rest in one of two pleasant bedrooms, a super-king-size with an en-suite bathroom and a twin with an en-suite shower room; both rooms feature zip/linked beds, for extra flexibility. In the morning, venture out to the veranda and rustle up a grilled breakfast on the barbecue, before wandering out to explore what the area has to offer. Be sure to pay a visit to Rhosgoch Golf & Leisure Club, as well as The Roast Ox Inn, before venturing to Clyro, a charming village. Spend the day in Hay-on-Wye, where you can canoe or walk along the River Wye, hike through Hay Warren and explore the remains of Hay Castle. Make the most of your close proximity to the Bannau Brycheiniog National Park (Brecon Beacons National Park), where the adventurous members of the group can climb up the peak of Waun Fach, birdwatchers can expore the Pwll y Wrach Nature Reserve and hikers can venture along Gospel Pass. Builth Wells is a must-see on your holiday, a market town that is home to a marvellous golf club, the gorgeous plains of The Groe as well as the Royal Welsh Showground. Directions
Clyro is a small village in Powys located between both the Bannau Brycheiniog National Park (Brecon Beacons National Park) and the Shropshire Hills AONB. The name of the village derives from 'clear water' in Welsh, and it is well-known for its mediaeval tradition. Clyro is also close to the River Wye and the Hay Warren hiking region, which provide scenic areas for walkers and bikers to explore. Dining choices include the Baskerville Arms Hotel, which serves typical pub fare that may be relished with a pint in the beer garden; alternatively, guests can purchase necessities at the Regent House Filling Station.
