To the rear of the property is a luscious and enclosed lawn, where the kids can enjoy ball games and your furry friends can stretch their legs while you enjoy a soothing dip in the log-fired hot tub. Get acquainted with your surroundings and embark on a short walk into Fence, where the impeccable restaurants of Forest and The Fence Gate await, along with a well-stocked village store! Steeped in centuries-old heritage and legendary folklore, Lancashire offers many attractions to suit your interests and there are some fantastic locations to choose from. Discover some of Lancashire's legends; from majestic manor houses set in relaxing gardens to original textile museums transporting you back to a time when cotton was king! Take a trip to the top of Pendle hill and take in the spectacular countryside and spellbinding story of the "Pendle Witches", the most famous witches in the land. Close by is Whalley Abbey, whose 'monks' will give visitors an insight into how their predecessors used to live and work, whilst Clitheroe is also well worth a visit with its recently revamped museum and fine castle. Further days out include trips to the National Trust’s best kept secret, Gawthorpe Hall, a striking Elizabethan mansion with a rich history or pop on your walking boots and follow the scenic Stream & Steam Trail through the heritage of Barnoldswick.
