Guests here will find it convenient for exploring the scenic coastal footpath, spending lazy days on the beach or golfing at Porthpean's scenic 18 hole course without relying on a car. Within easy driving distance are the charming fishing village of Mevagissey and the historic harbour town of Charlestown, home to a magnificent fleet of square riggers, or tall ships as they are better known. The chic waterside town of Fowey is approximately nine miles from Porthpean and a day in the town is a must.
