Set in 250 acres of Berkshire parkland, dog-friendly Wokefield Estate was built in the 1560s for the wealthy Plowden family. The Estate has recently been transformed by a huge restoration programme and four legged friends are welcome to stay with you in each of the historic buildings - Wokefield Place or Mansion House. In Mansion House there are now 87 guest rooms, including 12 luxury suites. With 250 acres of wonderful grounds for your dog to play there is also a PGA-standard golf course, an outdoor activity course and a fully equipped gym and indoor swimming pool. Dog-friendly Highclere Castle and Wellington Country Park are close by.

This stunning Jacobethan English manor house is open to the public, allowing you to walk in the footsteps of the fictional Crawley family and their staff. Also visit the dog-friendly Wellington Country Park with a vast and beautiful country park to explore with your best friend in tow as well as riding facilities and an excellent farm shop. The country park is just 3 miles, that's 8 minutes' drive from De Vere Wokefield Estate.
