Overview

Cotstone Cottage, a delightful terrace cottage lies at the heart of the picturesque market town of Chipping Campden. Set amongst the incredible landscapes of the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this attractive abode offers an idyllic base for a romantic countryside escape for one or two couples travelling with their canine companions. Step inside the inviting sitting room that emanates character and charm through its white-washed beams and traditional woodburning stove, that are complemented by gorgeous contemporary furnishings. Flick on the sleek Smart TV as you kick back on the stylish sofa or snuggle up in the roomy armchair, keeping warm from the head of the fire. Take two steps up to the well-designed kitchen/dining room and discover a beautiful table where you can enjoy conversations with friends, whilst the chef of the group takes to the handy electric oven to prepare a delicious dinner for all. Open up the large patio doors taking the evening out into the garden, delighting in drinks on the decking whilst the dogs play freely on the lawn. Climb the winding staircase up to the first floor and unwind with a relaxing soak in the roll-top bath and admire the white subway tiles and contrasting black wall, or wash away your worries with a rinse in the spacious walk-in shower. Across the way lie two well-decorated bedrooms boast king-size beds and have been styled with chic grey hues, providing a tranquil space to lay your head to rest at the end of an action-packed day! Embark on a peaceful stroll through the centre of town, stopping off at the National-Trust-owned Market Hall before grabbing a spot of breakfast at one of the many local cafes. Continue on to Broadway to see the imposing 3-floor folly of the Georgian Broadway tower or take a tour of the National Trust's Snowshill Manor and Garden. Wander the manicured lawns of Bourton House Garden and see the very best that the Cotswolds has to offer with a scenic hike along the Cotswold Way. Meet exotic creatures at All Things Wild or enjoy a fun-filled day at Hatton Adventure World. Step back in time at one of the many local museums or visit The Model Village, sitting just a stone's throw away. See the 4th-century ruins of Chedworth Roman Villa before returning to this idyllic cottage, stopping off for a bite to eat in the friendly pub or grabbing groceries from the local convenience store. This market town defines the saying "good things come in small packages" as it proves itself to be a wonderful place for tourists to stay. Chipping Campden sits in the northern part of the Cotswolds and boasts many historical buildings from St. James' church where the Chipping Camden Music Festival is held every year, to the early 17th century market hall upon which the town prides itself. Not only does the town have a rich history but much more, the high street is laced with charming Cotswold stone buildings with a range of shops and pubs. Nearby there are several beautiful, formal gardens for you to wander through. Chipping Campden has held its own 'Olimpick Games' since the early 1600s including peculiar sports such as 'shin-kicking', most certainly worth lining your holiday up with to experience something so unique. For a dose of famous history, head to the birthplace of William Shakespeare in Stratford-upon-Avon just 12 short miles away, it offers some charming little buildings, bookshops, theatres and museums.
