Overview

Belford 1.2 miles. This mid-terrace cottage offers luxurious, characterful accommodation. The kitchen is well-equipped with a range cooker so that you can prepare delicious meals which can be enjoyed around the dining table together. The sitting/dining room is beautifully furnished and has character beams, as well as a large stone-built hearth housing a woodburning stove. Upstairs has vaulted ceilings and exposed beams and there are two luxurious bedrooms, the master fitted with a king-size bed and a spacious bathroom complete with a freestanding roll top bath, a separate walk-in shower and WC. Bruno's Bothy is a wonderful base from which to explore Northumberland.

The picturesque Northumberland village of Belford lies in the heart of Heritage countryside, midway between the popular walled towns of Alnwick and Berwick-upon-Tweed. The pretty coastal village of Bamburgh, with its sweeping beaches and dramatic castle, is only a short drive away. Belford itself is an old coaching village with a pleasant square and offers a variety of shops, pubs and restaurants. It is ideally placed for exploring the Northumbrian Coastal Route, Cheviots, the renowned Northumberland Coastline and the Scottish Borders. The opportunity to visit the bird sanctuary or seal colony on the famous Farne Islands with boat trips running daily from nearby Seahouses, is not to be missed. Alternatively check the tide times and cross to Holy Island to visit the historic Lindisfarne Priory.
