The dog-friendly Avon Causeway is a beautiful traditional pub with rooms, built in the 19th century as a conversion of the Hurn railway station, near Christchurch in Dorset. Located on the edge of the New Forest with its fabulous walking opportunities it also makes the perfect base for exploring the South Coast and Dorset surroundings with your best furry friend in tow. Food and drink served in the bar area and the restaurant space. The bar offers a great range of real ale, craft beer, lager, and cider from their award-winning brewery, Butcombe, and a cocktail menu with all the classics. In the summer months, you can enjoy a beer or cocktail in the dog-friendly courtyard beer garden.

The fabulous dog-friendly ethos and the Inn's wonderful location close to the New Forest for woodland walks and beach visits to the South Coast!
There are twelve modern and comfortable ensuite bedrooms. All the rooms are situated on the first floor at the top of 18 stairs so not suitable for wheelchairs.

In the cosy bar where your dog can expect a sausage for breakfast! In the summer months, you can dine with your dog in the beer garden. The Inn serves delicious seasonal menus, with a focus on fresh, locally sourced ingredients and exciting takes on hearty pub classics. Behind the bar, there's a selection of award-winning Butcombe beer, and when Sunday comes it's all about the Great British roast.
Please note on Sunday the kitchen closes at 6PM and the pub closes at 9PM.
