Prepare the dining room ready for dinner, whilst the group's chef gets acquainted with the contemporary, shaker-style kitchen, complete with an electric cooker, washer/dryer, dishwasher, and breakfast bar with a drinks fridge. To the rear, you'll find a small, gravelled patio area with a picnic bench to lounge with your morning coffee before venturing out. Completing the ground floor is a cloakroom, whilst upstairs you'll find the sleek family bathroom and the first of three bedrooms, a super-king-size with a TV and en-suite shower room. The second floor has two king-size bedrooms with TVs, one being zip and link to suit a variety of groups and the other includes a bunk bed. The cottage sits close to Kendal's fantastic amenities and attractions including a selection of shops, The Ring O Bells pub, Comida for Spanish tapas, and The Moon Highgate for British cuisine, to name a few! Kendal, a historic market town with great shopping, is renowned as the Southern Gateway to the Lakes. Old cobbled roads and byways radiate off the main street, and the 12th-century stone ruins of Kendal Castle overlook the town. Abbot Hall Art Gallery has portraits by Kendal-born George Romney, Turner, and Ruskin, and Tate shows. Sizergh Castle and Levens Hall with its Topiary Garden are close, as are easy-to-walk limestone escarpments with views of the Lakeland Mountains, the Howgills, and Morecambe Bay.
