Anwylfa is perfectly situated to enjoy all that the picturesque village of Moelfre and the east coast of Anglesey, North Wales has to offer, a short stroll from the property will lead you straight to the beautiful pebbly beach, a number of cafes and takeaways, gift shops and convenience stores to keep you stocked up during your stay. Slightly further if Menai Bridge, a small town and home to the Menai suspension bridge built in 1826, overlooking the Menai Strait, with plenty of restaurants serving locally caught seafood whilst you enjoy the stunning views across the Strait. In the opposite direction will take you to Holyhead, the largest town in the Isle of Anglesey and a major port town serving Ireland. Make sure you visit South Stack Lighthouse & visitor centre, accessed via a descent of 400 steps down the mainland cliffs, and offering incredible views out to sea from the north west tip of Wales when you get there. Beaumaris Castle is also just a short drive away, a 13th Century Castle and known as the greatest castle that was never built, steeped in history and an architectural masterpiece, it even has its own dock. The National Trust – Plas Newydd House and Gardens is a short drive away, built in 1470, where you can take a stroll through the colourful gardens and marvel at the beautiful views over Eryri National Park (Snowdonia) and the Menai Strait.
