Completing the interior is the shower room, ideal for freshening up before heading out the door. Explore Windermere high street with its range of independent shops selling local produce, traditional butchers, restaurants and pubs, offering something for everyone. Head to National Trust's Wray Castle, take a walk through Brockhole on Windermere, or learn about the area's rich history at the Lake District Visitor Centre. Five miles away lies Ambleside, an idyllic town home to the Ambleside Roman Fort, a must-see for keen historians, whilst there is also the Bridge House and the beautiful Stock Ghyll Force worth adding to the itinerary.
