This wonderful property is an ideal holiday cottage for a family or couple wanting to explore the south of Cornwall and the surrounding heritage coastline, while also being within easy reach of the renowned Eden Project attractions and the city of Truro. Step inside the property and find a homely sitting room with open fireplace with a cast iron surround and a sash window with lovely wooden shutters that overlooks the charming front garden, a perfect place for you to curl up on the sofa to watch something on TV. The kitchen/diner with slate flooring, neutral wooden cupboards, black and silver sparkle quartz worktops and a freestanding cooker, as well as a small dining table, where you can gather to enjoy a home-cooked meal and attractive sash windows overlooking the rear garden. Upstairs there are three spacious, carpeted bedrooms, all with lovely sash windows and wooden shutters, consisting of two doubles and a single, all served by a family bathroom with a contemporary, tiled suite and a large walk in shower. The centre of Charlestown, with its plethora of shops, cafés and restaurants, is a short walk away, along with its harbour featuring a collection of tall ships, a shipwreck museum and glorious sandy beach. From the beach, walkers can access the South West Coast Path in either direction; head west towards the Roseland Heritage Coast and discover the Lost Gardens of Heligan, with acres of lush land and a tearoom, sandy beaches at Porthpean and Pentewan, along with the pretty fishing port of Mevagissey, with its model railway, aquarium, harbour and ferry port, offering trips to Fowey, while a journey east will encompass the beaches of Par Sands and St Austell Bay, as well as the National Trust's Lantivet Bay, the cargo port of Fowey along the River Fowey, with its 16th century castle built by Henry VIII, yacht club and harbour, plus the picturesque fishing harbour of Polperro, with its heritage museum and idyllic beach. St Austell is just over a mile away, with the renowned visitor attraction of Eden Project less than five miles from the cottage, and for a slight change of scenery, Cornwall's cathedral city of Truro is a short drive away. 74 Charlestown Road is a charming base for a coastal retreat on the south coast of Cornwall.
