Overview

Tucked away in the picturesque harbour town of Watchet, in Somerset, is this quaint, mid-terrace cottage, 7 Severn Terrace. Set over two floors and offering sea views across rooftops, this charming retreat is an ideal choice for families and friends alike, with easy access to the stunning Quantock Hills AONB. On arrival at the cottage, park at the rear of the property in the off road parking spaces and enter the property through the charming courtyard into the kitchen. Wander through to the contemporary kitchen, amply–equipped with all the essentials for a short break, including an electric oven and gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and even a washing machine, so you won’t have to pack your whole wardrobe. Serve the fruits of your labour in the separate dining room, toasting to a much-needed break with your nearest and dearest. Unwind in the lounge, offering plush seating with a TV and woodburning stove, you’ll have everything for a cosy night in! As the evening draws to a close, venture upstairs and discover the bedrooms; the master includes a king-size bed with feature fireplace, whilst the second room offers a twin, perfect for the little ones. The sleek bathroom rounds off the interior, boasting a gorgeous freestanding bath and walk-in shower cubicle, so you can best decide how to prepare for the day. Outside there is the charming courtyard and enclosed raised rear garden where you can listen to the puffing of the steam train whilst looking across the roof tops to the sea. When you’re ready to explore, the bustling town of Watchet is filled with independent shops, pubs, cafés, restaurants, try your look hunting at Whatchet nationally renowned fossil beach, plus there’s a whole of attractions from the picturesque marina to the museum and a short distance from the Steam Railway, taking visitors through beautiful countryside and coast. If you’d prefer to explore on foot then there are many paths along the coast from Watchet, while the Quantock Hills AONB boast vast landscapes to explore, and the Exmoor National Park offers an expansive nature reserve. Set in a wonderful region of Somerset, choose 7 Severn Terrace as your next coastal escape.

Visitors can enjoy the range of charming shops on offer in Watchet, a charming small Somerset harbour town with a nautical heritage spanning more than two millennia, as well as the opportunity to observe the boats in the marina. The West Somerset Railway, a twenty-mile stretch of restored steam railroad, goes through Watchet and continues through breathtaking countryside for another nine miles to the coastal town of Minehead, drawing in rail enthusiasts from all around. The Quantock Hills climb to 1,000 feet above sea level near St. Audries in the east, and the Brendon Hills and Exmoor are to the west and are also easily accessible. From Watchet, there are wonderful walks down the coast. Discover the numerous charming coastal and inland villages, such as Porlock with its steep hill and charming winding alleys, Dunster with its spectacular castle towering above the old village, and Minehead with its bustling resort, sandy beach, golf course, and classic seaside attractions. This is a fantastic choice for a vacation location because of the rural scenery, stunning coastline, and wonderful walking.
