Overview

21 Mill green is a beautifully refurbished, pet-friendly cottage situated in the heart of Lyme Regis, Dorset. With easy access to a local beach, shops and eateries, this property is perfect for families and groups of adults looking to explore the Jurassic coast with their pet. The cottage sits in a delightful row of colourful houses near the River Lym and with a public long stay car park just a short walk from the property. Enter into a beautifully refurbished cottage where a sitting/dining room encourages you to relax with a coffee in front of a woodburning stove, the dining area is on a raised wooden floor above the carpeted level of the sitting area. There are traditional wooden beams throughout the space bringing with them an aspect of the historical cottage, despite its contemporary renovation. From this beautiful space you will find a stunning kitchen with bare brick walls, white furniture and a small island with stools, perfect for social cooking as a family or a laid-back morning breakfast. The handy utility area takes care of your sandy clothes. Following on from the kitchen you will find an inviting sun room with sofas. A wooden conservatory roof with huge windows lets in plenty of light as you recline and plan your day, with French windows opening onto the garden. Sleeping six, this property has a variety of bedrooms to choose from, giving flexible sleeping options with the same hints of opulence as the rest of the house. On the first floor there is a king-size bedroom, stylish wooden furniture and homely paintings, along with a family room with a single and double bed. Head to the second-floor and discover a stunning king-size room with high ceilings and an abundance of space and storage, along with a contemporary bathroom with shower. utside, you can access an enclosed rear garden bursting with shrubs and plants, where a patio offers a spot to recline at the end of the day with a glass of your favourite beverage as you enjoy the sound of the nearby river flowing by. Situated in such a convenient spot, 21 Mill Green is never far away from any of the bustling town of Lyme Regis’ cafés where you can enjoy tea and homemade cake, tasty restaurants and seaside pubs. Local beaches are also easily accessible from this property where you can picnic on the sand or search amongst the rocks of Lyme Regis Fossil Beach for fascinating creatures preserved in the rocks. The town itself offers great family activities including an aquarium and two museums, or you can head further afield to visit the Golden Cap and South West coastal footpath or a trip to the wonderful Donkey Sanctuary at Sidmouth. The charming market town of Lymington is situated on the west bank of the Lymington River at the western end of The Solent, at the southern edge of the New Forest National Park. As well as being a favoured sailing resort, there are also regular ferry links to the Isle of Wight. The town boasts an array of interesting boutiques and craft shops, or you can treat yourselves to a meal at one of the numerous local restaurants. Lymington is surrounded by an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, from the heathlands and ancient woodlands of the New Forest to the coastal nature reserves which extend for 5 miles culminating in the shingle spit which is home to Hurst Castle, built in 1554 by Henry VIII. Lymington provides an excellent touring base from which to explore the New Forest, the Isle of Wight and the Hampshire coast.
