This partly thatched, Grade II listed cottage is located in a pretty terrace beside the village green in Otterton. With charming original old features and modern style, this is excellent accommodation for small families or couples. From the street, open your front door into the spacious kitchen with traditional range as a feature. Snuggle up beside the log burner in the comfy living room, which has glass doors through to a sunny dining room. Both these rooms can open to the garden on a sunny day. Head up the stairs to a delightful romantic double bedroom with a four poster bed, and a twin which has the handy option of converting to a big double bed. The south facing garden is enclosed, with a seating area and steps leading you up to terraced lawns where the elevated position gives you peaceful views over the church and village. The village is a typically pretty, tranquil Devon one where you will be welcomed at the pub and shop. Otterton Mill is a fascinating place to visit, with its working mill, restaurant, bakery, shop and occasional events. Explore the nature reserve on the banks of the River Otter and you may spot a wide variety of birds or if you are lucky, wild beavers who have been reintroduced. Head down to the Jurassic Coast at Ladram Bay's pebble beach, or the elegant seaside town of Sidmouth.
