    At Lady Edith’s Holiday Park, you have a welcoming family friendly bar next to a play area, making this fun for everyone.     Peasholm Park is wonderful to discover, you can hire pedalos and rowing boats to go around the lake and see the stunning oriental gardens. Scarborough is famous for its theatres. There is an outdoor theatre which stages concerts by some of music’s big names, and then there is the Stephen Joseph Theatre which is famous for the premieres of Alan Ayckbourn’s plays. The Alpamare waterpark is great for all ages, with its fantastic wave pool and waterslides, as well as a large heated outdoor infinity pool. Keep younger children entertained with the ’splash and play’ area. For adults there is a spa where you can relax and be pampered. The heated outdoor pools are warm enough to enjoy through all of the seasons. Further along the coast you also have Ravenscar, Whitby, Robin Hood’s Bay and Bridlington to discover.     Staithes is within the North York Moors National Park so stunning scenery and traditional Yorkshire villages are in abundance. The village has a good local pub serving food, as well as a shop for essentials. Staithes is a great place for fossil hunting and in the summer you see many children enjoying searching the rock pools and crevices for these fossils. The village is like stepping back in time with its cobbled streets and quaint, quirky cottages that lead down to the harbour where you can sit and enjoy a drink with the locals at the pub. Staithes has now become a great artists retreat with an excellent art festival held every year.

    The property is perfect for those walkers amongst you as you can walk along the clifftops following the trail to Whitby and further on the Robin Hood’s Bay and Ravenscar.
