The beautiful sandy cove Porth Dafarch is a mile away and just beyond a fine selection of pubs, shops and restaurants in Trearddur Bay.
The bustling port of Holyhead, for day trips to Ireland, is a short drive. Golf, fishing, sailing, pony trekking and the Snowdonia National Park are all easily accessible, as are Conwy, Caernarfon and Beaumaris castles. Spend a day at Plas Newydd Country House and Gardens (National Trust), the home of the Marquess of Anglesey, with spectacular views of Snowdonia across the Menai Straits. Also worth a visit on the island is Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch, the longest place name in the UK! Beach 1 mile. Shop 2½ miles, pub and restaurant 3 miles

South Stack Nature Reserve nearby is great for birdwatching or walking. Coastal path highlights include Holyhead Mountain, South Stack lighthouse and sea cliffs, arches at Bwa Gwyn, Rhoscolyn, Carmel Point, Porth Wen, Llanddwyn Island, Menai Suspension Bridge, Britannia Bridge, Church in the sea at Aberffraw, Menai Bridge churches, Cemlyn nature reserve, Penmon Point and Priory.
On the way, you can expect to see, porpoises, seals, birds of prey and springtime wildflowers. Pull on that wetsuit and try your hand at canoeing, kayaking, paddle-boarding, coasteering, sailing, surfing, or take to the waves for some longboarding or kitesurfing action. However, please bring your own water sport equipment including paddle boards and kayaks.
