The glistening Loughor Estuary is on the doorstep and provides a haven for waders and geese at the National Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust Centre, 3 miles. The picturesque Millennium Coastal Path (and 12 mile bike track) to Pembrey Country Park leads you along the idyllic shores, with spectacular views of the Gower Peninsula (AONB). For a family outing, visit the scenic Pembrey Country Park, 8 miles, and discover its 7 miles of sandy beaches set within the forest, featuring a dry ski slope, horse riding trails and model steam engines. For the sports enthusiasts, visitors can enjoy a round of golf at the Jack Nicklaus course or watch live sport at the Llanelli Scarlet’s Rugby Stadium and nearby Ffos Las racecourse. Further along the coast, is the WWT Llanelli Wetlands Centre. This 450-acre wildlife haven is home to more than 600 bird species that fly in from all over the globe. Starlight is situated on 15 acres of the owner’s land with unspoilt countryside views, there are woodlands to enjoy and a stream running through the site. Starlight has been renovated to a high standard in 2021 and has wheelchair access paths around the site. The property consists of a large open plan space with smart TV, the kitchen area is well-equipped including a slide and hide electric oven. There is a spacious king size bedroom on the ground floor and a separate wet room. The first floor has two spacious bedrooms with super king size beds, one of which has a Smart TV and floor to ceiling windows with great views to the valley. Spend days visiting the market towns of Carmarthen and Laugharne, which was home to the famous Welsh poet, Dylan Thomas, and is renowned for its iconic boat house, historic castle, and traditional Welsh pubs where fresh fish is always on the menu. Less than a 30-minute drive away are the coastal resorts of Tenby and Saundersfoot, offering sandy beaches, boutique-style shops, and thrilling leisure parks, including Oakwood Theme Park and Folly Farm. The property comprises of a living room with a cosy wood burner and Smart TV, leading onto the dining room which looks out over the bay. The kitchen is well equipped and leads to the back garden. There is a second living room with a TV and double sofa bed. The bathroom has been renovated to a high standard and on the first floor is the master bedroom with views over the harbour, there is a great little window seat in this room. The second bedroom is a twin bedroom and again has views over the harbour.
This beautiful cottage has been renovated to a high standard throughout, the property overlooks the harbour of Burry Port, an ideal location to explore the area. Pembrey Country Park is a short distance from the property and a great day out for the family, there is also a dry ski slope here and toboggan run! The Gower Peninsula is approximately 20 miles from the property and Rhossilli Bay and Worms Head are a fantastic day out, walk out to Worms Head and you can see for miles, look out for the seals and the giant jellyfish that can be seen from the cliffs.
For those looking for some history, Kidwelly Castle is 5 miles from the property. There is an award winning golf course for those enthusiasts just 4 miles from the property, or walk across to the harbour and enjoy a light snack and drink in the local restaurant. You can also walk to the lighthouse, there are some lovely views to be had from here. For the cyclists in the group, why not make use of the miles of traffic-free cycle track that runs along the coastline and is literally on the doorstep. Beach 350 yards. This converted smart and spacious barn offers holidays in the beautiful Teifi Valley, close to the small village of Capel Iwan and the Cardigan Coast. One well behaved dog is welcome. This Teifi Valley barn is tastefully furnished throughout with three en-suite bedrooms (each with a TV), comfortable seating and a large TV in the roomy lounge which opens out into a smart and well-appointed kitchen. Five steps down from here lead into the dining area with table and chairs, sofa and patio doors opening onto an enclosed rear private garden. One well behaved dog is welcome.

Within an easy drive there is the glorious marine heritage coastline to discover, fascinating museums, gardens and the Teifi Valley Steam Railway to enjoy. Highfield Bungalow has been set up to comfortably sleep up to 6 guests. There are three bedrooms all with TV’s and ample storage, two of the rooms have king size beds and one is set up with twin single beds. The open plan L shaped living space is perfect for socialising and enjoying quality time together. Enjoy a cosy movie night - the lounge area is set up with an ‘L’ shaped sofa, cuddle armchair, a log burner, and a wall mounted Smart TV. Cook and dine together - the kitchen dining area is spacious, with a modern kitchen, dining table and bifold doors out to the decking area. The decking area houses a table and chairs to seat six, charcoal BBQ, and a hot tub!
Located on the edge of the Brecon Beacons, you can take a hike in the Welsh hills from the top of the road, then head back for a soak in the hot tub, or head down the road to Garnant where you’ll find local pubs and take aways to refuel! Further afield there are plenty of places to visit for a day out, the picturesque village of Llandeilo, National show caves of Wales - Dan Yr Ogof, and beautiful waterfall walks at Ystradfellte. In under an hour by car there are some of Wales’ most beautiful beaches and seaside towns or just over an hour will get you to Tenby – Wales’ most popular seaside town!
