22 Sea is a beautifully presented end of terrace house nestled in a quiet corner of ‘The Bay’, a purpose built holiday village overlooking Filey bay on the picturesque North Yorkshire coastline. With open plan living, and stunning full height windows providing access to a first floor balcony.

The sitting room features large deep filled sofas placed around a traditional wood burning stove; ideal for cooler winter months. Here you can relax and unwind after a long day at the beach whilst catching up on your favourite holiday movie. The modern kitchen sits to one side and the appliances include both a washer/dryer and dishwasher. The dining table provides plenty of seating for six and is ideally placed to enjoy a family breakfast or delicious home cooked evening meal.
Two sets of bi-fold doors provide access to a covered patio area and flood the room with natural light. An understairs cupboard provides space for storage and a WC completes the ground floor accommodation.
Take the stairs to the first floor and you will find two stunning and spacious bedrooms, a kingsize double and a double room with traditional bunk beds. Both bedrooms offer the ’wow’ factor with vaulted ceilings and full height cathedral windows which open up to provide access to a full length, south facing balcony with lovely views across the holiday park. Here you can sit and enjoy an early morning coffee or perhaps a relaxing glass of wine after a busy day.
Completing the interior is a spacious bathroom, featuring a shower over bath.
Outside of the house is a covered patio area with a table and chairs and a brick-built BBQ; a real sun trap which can be accessed from the open plan living area. A peaceful and secluded spot to sit and relax (not enclosed). This holiday home welcomes dogs and there are miles of dog-friendly beaches to explore and also a meadow for them to enjoy.
The Bay has many facilities to make your stay enjoyable including a coffee shop, convenience store, pharmacy, and the John Paul Jones family pub and restaurant. It also boasts a leisure complex comprising of an indoor, heated swimming pool, sauna, steam room and gym. You can also enjoy a game of tennis or hone your archery skills (additional charges apply).
Just a short drive away is the traditional seaside town of Filey where you can find a plethora of tea rooms, restaurants and pubs alongside amusement arcades and shops selling holiday essentials such as buckets and spades! This beautiful part of North Yorkshire offers something for everyone including miles of cycle routes and footpaths to explore including the breathtaking cliffs at Flamborough Headland. For golf fans enjoy a round on the beautiful Bridlington Links Golf Course. A little further afield is the North Yorkshire Moors National Park, the historic City of York and the birthplace of Captain James Cook, Whitby. This homely, semi-detached bungalow is perfect for that well-needed family holiday. The property is situated in a quiet cul-de-sac, in the village of Hunmanby, and just 3 miles from the traditional seaside resort of Filey. There is an enclosed lawned garden to the rear of the property, making it ideal for small children or pets. There’s also a small open garden to the front of the property.
There are a whole host of amenities within walking distance including a post office, shops and local pubs. The seaside resorts of Filey, Scarborough and Bridlington are all just a short drive away. Filey is the smallest of the three resorts, and is a very traditional seaside resort with a wonderful large sandy beach. Scarborough and Bridlington are much larger resorts with lots of amenities to keep the family entertained. Scarborough also has two wonderful bays with a long sweeping promenade which stretches for over 3 miles, perfect for a leisurely stroll along the seafront. To the north of the bays you will find the Sealife Centre and Alpamare Water Park, both exciting visits for children. Peasholm Park with its stunning gardens and large lake where you can hire pedalos and rowing boats is also close by. The park is also home to the world famous Naval Warfare Battle, a miniature sea battle that is re-enacted with model warships and has entertained many children over the years. The market towns of Pickering, Malton, Driffield and Beverley are also worth visiting during your stay. Each have busy market days as well as lots of little independent shops and cafés. Situated in a quiet residential area, in the village of Hunmanby, near Filey, the property is less than 3 miles from the beach at Primrose Valley. The property boasts a lovely conservatory overlooking the rear, enclosed garden, perfect for those travelling with children and/or pets. There are shops and pubs within walking distance, so no need to take the car. Hunmanby is located on the edge of the Yorkshire Wolds, where the rolling hills were the inspiration for David Hockney’s paintings. The Wolds Way walk runs nearby, a 79-mile walk through the tumbling Yorkshire hills and countryside. The Centenary Way also runs past the village, a walk that starts in York and finishes in Filey, so for those who enjoy the great outdoors, The Retreat is a great base for a walking holiday.
The seaside resort of Filey is just a few minutes drive away, and is an old fashioned, quieter resort than it’s neighbours, Scarborough and Bridlington. Filey is renowned for its large beautiful sweeping beach which has won many awards over the years. Further north there is Scarborough and Whitby as well as the North York Moors National Park. You can catch the steam trains from Pickering to Whitby, crossing over the beautiful moors and calling at Goathland, also known as the village of Aidensfield in the TV programme Heartbeat.
The property is ideally situated for visiting medieval York, a vibrant, lively city that has been voted in the top 10 cities to visit for several years. York appeals to all ages with it’s historical buildings, Jorvik Viking Centre and the Railway Museum, as well as the many leisure cruises available along the river. The RSPB bird sanctuary at Bempton is just a few minutes drive away, and offers the opportunity to see puffins, kittiwakes and gannets, all perched along the chalk cliffs. Beach 2½ miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 500 yards.

The Parade Apartment is a first floor, one bedroom apartment perfect for couples and is situated on The Bay at Filey. This apartment also gives you access to the facilities on-site, including a large, heated indoor swimming pool, tennis courts, gym, café and a pub that serves traditional pub meals. The Bay is a large holiday complex close to the seaside resort of Filey and from the complex you can walk along the beach to Filey or there is a local bus service. Filey has a large supermarket as well as plenty of restaurants, bars and shops.

The apartment also makes a perfect base to visit this beautiful area, from the wonderful North Yorkshire Moors National Park to the rolling hills of the Yorkshire Wolds. Just along the coast there’s the RSPB bird sanctuary at Bempton Cliffs where you can see the puffins perched on the cliffs. This whole coastline is full of nature reserves and wildlife. The seaside towns of Scarborough, Bridlington and Whitby are just a short drive away. Beach 600 yards. Shop 1 mile, pub and restaurant on-site.

There’s a popular pub on-site that serves food, as well as a café style bistro. A leisurely walk takes you directly to the beach, which is over 4 miles long and stretching all the way to Filey. The beach is sandy and flat with lots of space for the children to enjoy making sandcastles and playing, great for the dog too!

Filey is the nearest town and has a large supermarket as well as shops, restaurants and bars. It is still a very traditional resort with donkeys, fresh seafood stalls and an historic promenade. Scarborough and Bridlington are both within a short drive, both larger and busier than Filey and with plenty of attractions to visit, including leisure centres, waterparks, theatres, a SeaLife Centre and lots more.

The RSPB bird sanctuary at Bempton Cliffs is just a short drive away, where you can spot thousands of migrating seabirds from the viewing points along the clifftops. The ever popular puffins attract overseas visitors, and in the spring and summer months you can catch the puffin boat ‘The Yorkshire Belle’ and sail to the foot of the cliffs to get a close up view of the birds, a fantastic opportunity for nature lovers.
