Sunnybank Cottage is a modern townhouse located just outside the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and Yorkshire Dales National Parks. Set over two floors you enter the property on the ground floor which presents a well-equipped kitchen/dining area should you not wish to dine out in the many restaurants close by. There are many walks straight from your door and cycling is very popular in the area including Yeadon Tarn which is great for walking around with your fluffy friends. Otley Chevin is within walking distance of the cottage giving you instant access to gorgeous walks any time of the year. For those seeking to be less active Ilkley, Harrogate and the lovely market town of Otley are all close by offering a variety of shops, cafés, restaurants, pubs and the legendary Betty’s Café Tea Rooms in Harrogate and Ilkley where afternoon tea is a must. Bolton Abbey is just a short drive away offering plenty of walking within the magnificent 30,000-acre grounds and picture-perfect picnic spots beside the river. The charming market town of Skipton also known as the ‘Gateway to the Dales’, is also 30 minutes away and is home to an ancient castle, cobbled high street and colourful street market.

Visit Mother Shipton’s Cave and Petrifying Well, where numerous artefacts have been turned to stone over the years, and enjoy the spectacular views from the castle, across the river and gorge. The Nidd Gorge is a beautiful, wooded landscape just upstream of the town, ideal for walking, picnics and wildlife watching. The Beryl Burton Cycle Way is a Sustrans route, allowing cyclists to ride to Harrogate and Ripley by traffic free routes.
Briars Cottage provides a perfect base from which to explore the elegant spa town of Harrogate, 4 miles away, with its Royal Pump Museum and restored Turkish baths and famous Betty’s tea rooms where afternoon tea is a must. The walled city of York is just half an hour by train or car, and is packed with attractions, including the iconic minster and Jorvik Centre, theatres, art galleries and festivals.
