There are two double bedrooms and a third bedroom with two single beds. Lawn Lodge has its own private parking and enclosed, lawned garden, and is adjacent to the owner’s renowned hotel, where guests can enjoy complimentary use of the extensive leisure facilities, including a heated indoor and outdoor swimming pool (outdoor pool - summer only), air conditioned gym and terraces/grounds. There is also a spa treatment centre (prices on enquiry), bar, two restaurants, and breakfast is offered at a discounted rate.
The ever-popular New Forest is a haven for wildlife with many ponies roaming across the heathland, extensive walks, cycling and riding routes. There is plenty to do in the area for all ages, all year round, including Beaulieu Motor Museum, Bucklers Hard, Marwell Zoo, New Forest Wildlife Park and Southampton with its maritime history, to name but a few! It is only a 10-minute drive to historic Lymington, with waterside dining, boutiques and ferries to the Isle of Wight. Forest Lodge is situated in an idyllic setting in a quiet corner of the New Forest, enjoying direct forest access which is home to an abundance of wildlife. Whilst in the grounds of the owner’s home, Forest Lodge has its own parking area and pathway. This detached holiday property stands alone and is not visible from the main house. Stabling and grazing are available for 2 horses on site, with prior arrangement with the owner and there is a grassy children’s play area with football goalposts, rugby posts and other games. The New Forest National Park offers thousands of acres of moor, heath and woodlands, where ponies and cattle roam free, and is perfect for walking, cycling and riding. You may also see wild deer, foxes, badgers and rabbits. The New Forest is a genuine walker’s paradise and also a fantastic place for cycling, with miles of traffic free tracks. Avondale is a wonderful, four bedroom, two bathroom home that has been lovingly refurbished to create a wonderful holiday home in a charming village location. With a spacious living room with a wood burner, and an open plan kitchen/diner with with picture window overlooking the garden and New Forest National Park beyond, this is the perfect choice for friends or families to use as a base to explore this stunning part of the country. The snug offers peaceful views out over the fields to the rear.
This fantastic cottage is in the peaceful village of Woodgreen, and you are very likely to see horses, donkeys and cattle (and during Panage, wild pigs) wandering past your front gate. Woodgreen is a charming village situated on the north west edge of the New Forest National Park. Woodgreen Common is designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest, and there are many walks and cycle rides that can be undertaken directly from the cottage. Woodgreen also boasts a wonderful village pub, serving traditional British cuisine, which is an easy, level walk from the cottage (make sure you have a torch for the way home), and there is also a delightful community-run village store and post office.
The neighbouring market town of Fordingbridge has a pub on the river and a great grocer shop for local produce; there is also an organic farm shop close by with its own café. Fordingbridge is known for its medieval bridge with five arches, and has many local shops, boutiques, eateries and a church. Nearby there is a waterpark, which offers wakeboarding, sailing, fishing and other water sports, and there is horse riding and golf in the area too.
Thirty minutes or so to the south, you will find beautiful sandy beaches at Southbourne, Bournemouth and Sandbanks. Other places to visit include Moors Valley, Christchurch Harbour and Dorset Heavy Horse Farm. The historic cathedral cities of Winchester and Salisbury are within a short drive away and are well worth a visit. The Annexe @ The Roost is a wonderful holiday home to simply relax in, a lovely setting for a long weekend, or as an ideal base to explore further afield for a longer stay. This recent barn conversion offers a real country charm and is the ideal place to enjoy a long weekend and escape to the country. It is an idyllic base from which to explore this stunning part of the New Forest and Dorset. All the accommodation - Larch Cottage (ref UK36198) Ash Hill (ref UK36199), Homewood (ref UK36205) and Sika Cottage (UK36194) adjoin one another and can be booked together to accommodate 20 guests, with the owners’ permission. All the properties have polished concrete floors with rugs and are furnished using natural woods of differing origins; each property has a stunning feature glass staircase. All the cottages have their own enclosed area with firepit and barbecue with outside seating. There is also a pizza oven shared between the four properties and can be booked on request.

Larch Cottage has wonderful views overlooking the woods and has a study on the first floor which is an ideal place to work if required. There is also a rustic play area for children and freshly laid eggs daily from the on-site chickens! For guests who may wish to bring a horse, the owners offer a stabling option by prior arrangement.

For those that like the outdoor lifestyle this will make the ideal retreat; there is on-site archery, axe throwing and fishing in the River Avon (licence required). Nearby there is horse riding, the New Forest Water Park, for kayaking and other water sports. For those bringing dogs, there are plenty of excellent walk, many of which offer great bird and wildlife spotting.

Lantern Cottage is a delightful, welcoming, end-of-terrace period cottage, which is beautifully presented and dog friendly for one medium-sized dog. It has been refurbished in 2021 and is located within a 7-minute level walk of Lyndhurst village and the beautiful open forest. Ideal for a family or couples for a romantic or active break together. On the ground floor you’ll find a cosy living room with a TV and a wood burner to snuggle up in front of, a dining room and a galley kitchen, along with a bathroom; whilst upstairs are the two bedrooms. There are a number thoughtful personal touches on display in the property including a wine bottle honesty rack, help yourself to a bottle on the house but please replace any more before you leave. There are two enclosed gardens with furniture to sit in and enjoy the sun after a day’s activities.
Lyndhurst is a wonderful village with a superb array of amenities. Often referred to as the ‘Capital of the New Forest’ it offers a variety of outdoor pursuits and places of interest with the open forest easily accessible for walking and riding. The village boasts an eclectic range of cafés, restaurants, two supermarkets and bakeries. Bike hire is also available (electric too of you fancy an easier ride). There are two mainline railway stations: Ashurst within 2½ miles and Brockenhurst just shy of 4 miles with direct links to London Waterloo.
