SeaTrees is found in the delightful village of Corton, near Lowestoft, in Suffolk, the most easterly point in the UK. SeaTrees is surrounded by numerous areas for walking, making it especially popular with those who like to be close to nature, and it is also perfect for dog walking. The coastline and award-winning beaches offer an ideal location for a coastal holiday, and is also famous for stunning sunrises, should weather conditions permit. Inland you are on the doorstep of the southern gateway to the Norfolk Broads National Park and Oulton Broad. Lowestoft has two popular piers, one holds classic seaside entertainment and the other has an all year round restaurant with wonderful views of Lowestoft’s beautiful sandy beach, as you would expect from this seaside destination. Corton lies just north of Lowestoft, the most easterly point of the UK. Beachwood is set amongst a secluded woodland setting and has frontline sea views. It is also considered to be the one with the most private, quiet and secluded settings. The photographs of the interiors speak for themselves. The kitchen is well equipped according to our many extremely satisfied guests to date. Tea coffee and milk is provided so guests don’t arrive late and find they can’t make a hot drink. The huge decking stretches to the cliff edge with views onto the award-winning beach. Stunning sunrises each morning which, should you so wish, can be watched while you relax in the hot tub! At night it lights up via a button. String lights have now been installed which are on a timer, which creates a wonderful evening ambience. The beach is never busy which makes for relaxing walks in both summer and winter and is accessed via a lovely short walk through the woods. It is also a dog friendly beach year-round. There are no shops or plastic swings and slides at Ocean Glade. It is very peaceful, and the grounds are beautifully maintained. There is a pub a 10-minute walk into the centre of the village which serves food, plus a small shop which also sells newspapers and a Chinese takeaway that only takes cash. There is a shopping complex a few minutes’ drive away with plenty of free parking.
Beachwood is ideally located to explore both Suffolk and Norfolk. Visit the Norfolk Broads National Park, with its southern gateway, Oulton Broad, just a short drive away, with good restaurants and a wine bar. Lowestoft is an old-fashioned traditional town offering shopping, beaches, two piers with family entertainment and restaurants. The popular town of Southwold is about a 35-minute drive away. There is so much to do and see in the area and you would be advised to google your preferences for details etc. Far too much to write here!

Southwold with its pier and summer theatre; Dunwich Heath and beach; RSPB Minsmere; Aldeburgh with its fishing boats and local seafood, and Snape Maltings Concert Hall are all easily accessible, as are the lovely Norfolk Broads. There are many things to do in the surrounding area, including Africa Alive, which is a renowned nature reserve, Lowestoft, with its popular pier, and Pleasurewood Hills, the UK’s most easterly theme park. Further inland, you will find Oulton Broad, part of the Norfolk Broads National Park. From here, you can fish (licence required), hire a day boat or sit back and watch the passing pleasure craft. Located in the ever popular village of Pakefield near Lowestoft, Florence Cottage is an original fisherman’s cottage, wonderfully renovated by the owners. An open plan living/dining room lends itself well to socialable evenings after a day of exploring the Suffolk Heritage Coast. The wood burner is also an added bonus for those cooler winter evenings.

The cottage is only 500 yards from the beach, where dogs are welcome all year round, and the beach is a blend of sand dunes and wide open space. Further south, during the summer the promenade is very popular, with the Claremont Pier a big hit with little ones (and big kids!).

Lowestoft is the most easterly point in the UK and is known as the ’sunrise coast’. You are ideally located to explore the surrounding area, including Southwold, Aldeburgh, RSPB Minsmere, Dunwich and Walberswick for a spot of crabbing. For those looking for fun on the water, Oulton Broad is nearby, the southern gateway to the Norfolk Broads National Park, where fishing, day boats and riverside pubs and restaurants are the usual haunts of guests to the area. In the summer Aldeburgh is a hive of activity and a much sought after location. Its high street is filled with restaurants, pubs and shops. Along the promenade, fresh fish is sold from the beach huts that line the sandy stretch of beach - the iconic scallop shell sculpture standing proud in the centre, a tribute to Benjamin Britten, the composer famously affiliated with this beautiful part of the world. Surrounding Aldeburgh there is plenty to see and do and a short drive inland will bring you to Snape Maltings, the home of Aldeburgh Music. Set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, there is a year round music programme. This unique location brings visitors outstanding concerts, events, cafés, galleries, river trips and much more. On road parking is available a short walk from the property. Alternatively, there is a church car park for short stays, overnight is not available unless agreed with the church in advance.
