Little Whitley is the former staff quarters to the main house, which started life in the 1600s, and has since been sympathetically restored into a stunning self-catering holiday property for up to four guests. The cottage lies within a private 200-acre family-run farm and boasts its own enclosed orchard and courtyard. The orchard leads on to a footpath which, in one direction, takes you to the village of Hookagate with a pub that welcomes dogs and is popular for food, and a regular bus service to Shrewsbury. In the other direction the footpath leads to Hanwood, also with a village pub and local shop. Whitley provides the perfect destination for couples, families and anyone looking for a relaxing rural retreat.

Outside, there is a beautiful walled orchard garden, enclosed for you to let your pooch roam around, and or the children play to their hearts content, with table and chairs, perfect for al fresco dining. Dogs are more than welcome at Whitley and there is so much to explore with them in the local area, fantastic walks along the river or across Lyth Hill, or 15 minutes in the car will take you in to the Shropshire hills. Although the property is rural, you’ll be pleased to learn that Shrewsbury is only 10 minutes away by car or an easy bus journey. Set on the banks of the River Severn, Shrewsbury is one of the country’s most picturesque medieval towns. Dotted with flowers and parks, and renowned for the historic Shrewsbury Abbey and Castle, this bustling town is home to a lively independent shopping scene, restaurants, bars and some unforgettable days out. This detached holiday property that stands alone in large gardens - there is a fabulous view of Wenlock Edge, an area of Shropshire that is well known by walkers. The Wenlock Edge links Much Wenlock with Church Stretton, the only market town in this AONB. You’ll find many attractions around these areas where the surrounding villages form an excellent base for the country lover or sportsman alike, in all seasons. Cross-country routes are well marked for hikers, horse riders and mountain bikers. Shops 4 miles, pub 3 miles, restaurant 1½ miles.

Built in the 1850s, this semi-detached holiday cottage has been upgraded and is located on the outskirts of Minsterley with its own gardens and countryside views. Walking, fishing, horse riding and a number of NT properties are all available locally, and a short drive will take you into local towns such as Shrewsbury, Church Stretton, Ludlow, Ironbridge and Bridgnorth, and in less than 15 miles you can cross over the border into mid Wales. Near to the famous foodie market town or Ludlow and walking distance to a lovely local bar/bistro, Apple Tree Lodge is set on the grounds of a 2,000-acre estate where guests are welcome to walk and take in the stunning Shropshire countryside.
The lodge itself is a converted, small L-shape property all set on one level. An open plan layout with a kitchen with all the mod cons, a large dining area big enough for six and a light spacious lounge with a wood burner, excellent too cosy up next to after your long county walks or the colder nights.
There are also two good sized bedrooms and a shared bathroom. To the right of the property you will find a small secure paddock with picnic benches where you can sit and have a morning coffee reading the paper and planning your day.

Arscott is a small hamlet in Shropshire. It is near to Plealey, Shorthill and Annscroft and within the civil parish of Pontesbury. Down the road is a 18 hole golf course, there are walking trails galore. Lyth Hill is a 14 mile circular route, that runs directly through Arscott and is a delight for all walking enthusiasts.
With interiors that blend traditional farmhouse character, Corbett Cottage is a real home-from-home, allowing guests to indulge in laid back country life and relax. The cottage benefits from an equipped kitchen, so that meals can be easily enjoyed during your stay. Next door is the living room, offering a Smart TV with Netflix and Disney, plus a DVD player and with dining to accommodate four comfortably. With plenty of lounging furniture making this the perfect spot to relax after a day of exploring.
Upstairs there are two bedrooms, one with a king size bed and TV and the other with a double bed and TV, both bedrooms feature character beams of the barn and have plenty of storage space along with stunning views. The wet room offers a walk-in shower and toilet. Plus, there is a reading area to enjoy some quiet time on the landing. There are two patio areas to indulge in either a morning cup of coffee or a meal alfresco style.
With easy access to the delights of Shropshire, as well as being a short drive away from Shrewsbury, there is so much to do in the local area. Outside of the farm, the local Village of Pontesbury just a couple of miles away is full of lovely amenities, including a butcher, greengrocer, and a café. While those looking to experience the picturesque surrounding areas can get exploring with just a short drive. Corbett Cottage is the ideal escape for those wanting to discover this part of Shropshire.

Jackdaw Cottage sits on the Glyndwr’s Way footpath on the edge of the beautiful town of Knighton, within easy walking distance from the Offa’s Dyke Visitors Centre as well as the restaurants, bars and cafes in the town centre. It is on the south facing slope of a lovely small green valley know as ‘the Cwm’. The stone property is 200 years old with exposed stone walls and oak lintels. It has a large, enclosed garden and patio overlooking the wooded valley with private access to the clear babbling brook. The cottage has been renovated to a high standard in 2022/2023 with some beautiful character features throughout, perfect for a family holiday or romantic break away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. it’s great for children and your four-legged friends to run about in this open space whilst you watch on, with a glass of something nice and listen to the local wildlife.
Throughout the year there are some lively fairs celebrated, and all year round, you will find an array of antique and gift shops, tea rooms, old inns, good food and friendly locals in Knighton. Local attractions include Offa’s Dyke Heritage Centre, Powys Observatory with Planetarium Show, golf, clay pigeon shooting and coarse fishing. The historic town of Ludlow, Hay-on-Wye with its antiquarian bookshops, and Presteigne all host cultural festivals during the summer months and are just a short drive away.
