The small yard to the rear has a sitting-out area, a locking outhouse where items such as a surfboard could be stored, an outside tap where you can wash sandy feet, buckets and spades and a outside shower for after a fun filled day on the beach.

Everything is just a stone’s throw away. The popular casino is just round the corner, as well as an excellent shopping mall. The cricket ground, home to some great county cricket, is just a 5-minute walk away, and there are plenty of shops, bars, restaurants and cafés. There are several ways to walk down to the beach, all of which are between 10 and 20-minute walks. Scarborough has two bays with a long Marine Drive that separates the two. Built in the 1950’s, this property, set over three levels, has been completely transformed to provide a truly incredible family holiday home. The owner has gone to great lengths to ensure that Carmel provides the highest level of luxury. On the ground floor there’s an open plan dining area opening out onto the kitchen where you can enjoy home cooked family meals together. This then leads through a sliding door to the cosy snug complete with a TV and a double sofa bed. On the ground floor there is also a twin bedroom and a shower room. From the dining room, steps lead down to the living room, a spacious and bright heart of the home with a crackling wood burner and which leads out onto the enclosed garden. This south-facing garden is a sun trap, with a summerhouse, artificial lawn and a barbecue. Up on the first floor there are three bedrooms, one of which has an en-suite shower room, and there is a separate family bathroom.

This property benefits from off road parking for two vehicles and is just a short walk away from Whitby’s many attractions, including the photogenic golden beach stretching all the way to Sandsend. Whitby is the perfect destination all year round, with lots of places on your doorstep which the family will love. Bolton Abbey is just a short drive away offering plenty of walking within the magnificent 30,000 acre grounds and picture perfect picnic spots beside the river. The spa town of Ilkley is also nearby, 3 miles, with an abundance of restaurants, pubs, pavement cafés and independent shops that can all be easily reached; as can legendary Betty’s Cafe Tea Rooms where afternoon tea is a must. Surrounded by 10 acres of meadowland in the grounds of Ovington Grange, this charming detached cottage offers superb accommodation, and there is stabling and equestrian facilities for riders and carriage drivers by arrangement with the owner. This single-storey accommodation has level access throughout with wide doorways meaning it is easily accessible and will appeal to all ages. It has a spacious open-plan kitchen/dining room with gloss units and a full range of appliances, including a coffee machine, dishwasher and TV to cater for your every need. The living room is spacious with comfortable sofas set around an electric wood burner. Two patio doors open out onto the enclosed south-facing patio... a perfect spot to enjoy a morning coffee taking in the views beyond.

The accommodation extends to two large bedrooms. The first has a kingsize bed and quality bedding - promising a good night’s sleep! It also has an en-suite bathroom with corner shower. Bedroom two offers two single beds which can zip and link to make a super kingsize bed on request, as well as windows at both aspects of the room bringing in the surrounding views. There are many miles of public footpaths and bridleways crisscrossing the countryside, and with the Howardian Hills only a few miles away it makes the cottages great for dogs. Stillington is also close to Thirsk, Helmsley, Harrogate and Knaresborough and has a great local bus service which will connect you to all of North Yorkshire.
The historic city of York is a must visit destination with attractions for all the family, from the famous Jorvic Viking Centre and the National Railway Museum to York’s Chocolate Story and York Minster. York’s winding streets and medieval buildings are world famous for playing host to hundreds of independent shops and restaurants. Tucked away in the peaceful village of Middleton this little cottage dates back to the 1750’s, where it was once a tiny farmhouse with its own small allotment that they used for animals and crops. This quaint hideaway still retains many of its original charm, with beamed ceilings and lots of character. With the benefit of your own designated off-road parking bay. Please note that the drive is narrow and may not be suitable for large vehicles. A footpath follows you through the courtyard with a table for two. There is also a bike shed with suitable storage adjacent to the parking area with a seating area too.

Stepping inside you will find the adorable country kitchen, which is compact yet has everything required to create delicious home-made meals to delight your loved one. The kitchen is open plan with the dining area, with a table perfect for two. The living is separate, with a sofa and armchair around the small but mighty “hobbit” stove, that ensures you are snug and toasty after a busy day exploring. Wooden stairs lead you up from the living room to the first floor landing, where you have a beautifully presented kingsize bedroom, with a large wardrobe for all of your belongings.

This is the ideal destination for those who love the great outdoors, with incredible scenic views in the National Park to soak up. There are wonderful woodland walks through Dalby forest nearby, as well as many scenic bays along the coast only a 40 minutes’ drive away. Middleton itself is a small village just on the edge of the market town of Pickering. In Middleton you have a popular pub serving hearty meals, as well as a small tearoom and a local shop. Neighbouring Pickering has a medieval castle as well as a steam train which winds its way from Pickering over the rolling heather, through valleys and hill all the way to Whitby on the coast.

The North York Moors is a haven for walkers with many trails to explore and an abundance of wildlife. Nearby you have Malton, the food capital of Yorkshire, with a market, award-winning restaurants, and a cookery school. Castle Howard is one of Britain’s finest stately homes, sure to fill you with awe.
