Raydale is a haven for wildlife, with hares and deer often sighted in the surrounding fields at dawn and dusk, along with a wide variety of upland bird life including pheasant, partridge, curlew, duck and of course, Lake Semerwater stocked with a variety of fish. The hamlet of Marsett is set high in the hills above Bainbridge, providing far reaching panoramic views of the dales and fells beyond. The popular market town of Skipton is 3 miles away and offers a host of things to do for all ages. The Tour de France and the Tour de Yorkshire have both passed through Skipton and the surrounding countryside in recent years. Why not bring your bike and explore some of the routes for yourself? The area is peppered with gourmet pubs serving local produce as well as hearty, traditional pub food and there’s a plethora of restaurants and bars in Skipton to choose from should you wish to treat yourself and dine out during your stay.
