The interesting market town of Newark is 5 miles with its castle, cobbled centre, river trips and famous antiques market. Within a half hour’s drive are Belvoir Castle, Burghley House, The Southwell Workhouse and Belton House. Stamford and Lincoln are within 25 miles. Shops 2 miles.

Spend the day at the beach on the East Coast, or head west to Lincoln, famous for its cathedral and castle. With good walks and cycle routes straight from the door, as well as excellent golf courses, the area is ideal for outdoor enthusiasts. The nearby market town of Louth, with many good pubs, tea rooms and restaurants to enjoy refreshments in, is only a short drive or taxi ride away and is ideal for those looking for a good meal in the evening after a day exploring this fabulous area. These 5 holiday cabins, each with furnished verandah for dining al fresco, are located 7 miles from Boston, and 20 miles from Skegness. They are situated just outside the small village of Old Leake where there are two pubs, a supermarket and a children’s play area. The site is ½ mile from the A52 with a regular bus service to Boston and Skegness.
Sheepgate Equestrian Centre is 2 miles away, where National Dressage competitions are held. The local RSPB reserve at Freiston Shore is 5 miles away, whilst Leverton village to the south has a café, supermarket and pub.
There are many country lanes around the site which are ideal for walking and cycling. The cabins overlook an established fishing lake (permit provided), however, guests will also be required to have their own Environment Agency fishing license. Shop ¾ mile, pub and restaurant ½ mile.

These delightful barn conversions (refs 25589, 26477, 26718, 26724, 26726 and 29579) maintain many original features and are set in the heart of The Lincolnshire Wolds, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. On the edge of the village of North Willingham, the barns provide an excellent base for exploring. Just 3½ miles from Market Rasen with its world famous racecourse, excellent range of restaurants, pubs, shops and market. Horncastle is renowned for its antique shops and is only a short drive, as is the unspoilt Georgian town of Louth with two busy market days a week. A visit to the sandy beaches at Mablethorpe or Skegness are always worth a day out, as is a visit to Lincoln Cathedral and the Bailgate area used in the filming of the ‘Da Vinci Code’.
