Upon entering the open plan kitchen/living/dining area you will instantly be captivated by the view of the Irish Sea through the large bay window. The living area has a large corner sofa, Smart TV and coffee table. The dining area has banquet seating with extra stools, making it a great place to enjoy a good breakfast or hearty dinner. In the kitchen, you’ll find everything you need for a comfortable stay. Three bedrooms are located down the hall, one double and two twins, along with a family shower room and separate toilet. The large terrace outside has composite decking, glass balustrade and patio furniture where you can dine alfresco while admiring Morecambe Bay’s famous sunsets. In addition, there is a small lawned area where children can play.
The lodge is perfectly placed on a very popular holiday complex near Heysham. Located right on the seafront offering fantastic views of the stunning Irish Sea, children and adults are both well entertained with a range of activities, including a heated indoor pool, sauna, sports and leisure facilities, show bar, children’s entertainment, restaurant, beer garden, arcade, laundrette and small shop. After a day exploring, enjoy a meal at one of the restaurants, or a drink in the bar; the Show Bar offers weekend entertainment.
Located a short distance from Morecambe, a seaside resort with a sandy beach and long promenade. On the north end of the promenade, you can find Happy Mount Park which is open all year round. For wetter days or evening entertainment, Morecambe’s Soul Bowl is located on Central Promenade with its ten bowling lanes, restaurant and bar. If you wish to venture in the opposite direction, historic Lancaster is a short drive away. Lancaster Castle is a must see, as is a visit to Willamson Park and Butterfly House.

Ideally located to visit the whole of the North West of England, with countryside, bustling cities and the seaside, all accessible within an hour. The village has a hairdresser, a shop, a petrol station, pubs and much more! Down the stone steps, you are greeted by a cosy but spacious front garden with a table and chairs, which is the perfect area for BBQs or a quiet breakfast while planning your day’s activities. Entering the property you will find a tiled porch and grand entrance hallway. To the right you will find a spacious living area containing everything you need for a relaxing break. There is a three-seat sofa, rocking chair and armchairs, TV and dining table.
Through the door, you will find a separate utility room housing a washer and dryer, with a door leading to the rear enclosed courtyard. The hut is heated by the indoor fireplace which also doubles up as the barbecue/water boiling facilities (kettle provided). This is glamping, so the hut only has one socket (enough to charge your phone) and one strip light. There is a superb, separate compost toilet and shower, which is located in a separate little hut complete with solar light and solar driven water for handwashing. The hut is located at the bottom of the field surrounded by trees, nettles, grass and all field-related outdoorsy stuff! This is an ideal choice for couples and friends to enjoy local attractions and walks right on your doorstep.
Altham is a quiet village in the borough of Hyndburn in Lancashire. A village pub, local shops, petrol station and takeaways are all within a few miles. A popular and scenic area, Pendle Hill is within easy reach of the site, as is the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty which offers ample opportunity for remote walking and cycling away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. An easy journey under one hour will take you to the city of Preston in one direction, and historic Skipton and the Yorkshire Dales National Park in the other. Pub and restaurant ¾ mile.

Apart from being accessible for the coast, Oakland is also ideal for exploring rural Lancashire.
