Damerham is an ancient village steeped in history, its Norman church occupies a splendid hilltop site and is surrounded by fields. Damerham and Rockbourne fisheries are renowned for their chalk streams, ideal for trout fishing, and shooting, walking, cycling and horse riding are popular here too. The Heavy Horse Farm Park and Ancient Technology Centre at Cranborne are worthy of a visit. The cathedral city of Salisbury with leisure facilities, Cranborne Chase, The New Forest, Wilton House, Kingston Lacy (NT) and Southampton are all easily accessible.
