This lovely property sleeps four people, having a tastefully decorated master bedroom with king size bed and a further bedroom with twin beds. There is plenty of wardrobe and drawer space. Situated in the fishing village of Appledore, set on a hillside where the River Torridge and Taw meet, you will find this quaint cobbled street village. The rich history of this area has been centred around ship building, take a visit to the North Devon Maritime Museum. The quay, popular with crabbing has a great many traditional fishing boats which also are neighbours with yachts and pleasure boats offering trips across, or along the Estuary. A trip to the pretty 17th century village of Instow is a must, (via foot ferry) which is a wonderful sheltered stretch of dog friendly sandy beach. A variety of pubs and restaurants to sample the wide range of locally sourced products and seafood. The Arts and Crafts and local shops will give the option to find unique pieces, the Appledore Crafts Company is also well worth a visit.
Take a pleasant stroll to Westward Ho! (where there is great surfing) or Bideford, along the Coast Path. The beaches at Westward Ho! and Greysands are dog friendly. There are countless North Devon visits to be made, the traffic free Tarka trail is very popular with cyclists and walkers, allowing the opportunity to enjoy the scenic Devon countryside.
