Based in the heart of the village, there is a great 16th century dog friendly pub nearby as well as a train station which runs an hourly service between Barnstaple and Exeter and a convenience store.
    The cottage has two bedrooms and plenty of character with many original features such as the traditional Devonshire cob walls and the quaint original cottage doors. Walk along the cobbled path leading to the front door and step into the cottage and into the cosy living room with it’s comfortable seating, electric wood burner, Smart TV with freeview and a table and chairs to enjoy a home cooked meal. The stylish kitchen boasts granite worktops, charming wooden units and it is fully equipped with an electric oven, induction hob, microwave, under-counter fridge with an icebox and a coffee pod machine. The kitchen then leads to a useful utility room with a washing machine and the shower room which has a shower cubicle, toilet and sink.
    Heading up to the first floor, there are two well presented bedrooms; the first with a double bed and the second with a single bed and an additional pull-out single trundle bed. Please be aware that there isn’t any floor space in the single room when both beds are setup so it is really only suitable for two children.     Lapford is a charming village on the Tarka railway line and within a 30-minute drive there are a choice of National Parks and pretty towns and villages. Visit the rugged coastline and beaches of the North and South Devon coasts for a rejuvenating day by the sea. To the north you have the beautiful villages of Croyde and Woolacombe which offer sandy beaches and to the south you have the dramatic red cliffs of Sidmouth with its pebbled beach and Exmouth with its various watersports on offer.
